Research MLM.
I personally wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole.

Bigwave · 28/06/2021 15:11

had numerous friends try and fail. no 1 is interested in buying that stuff

Tuberoses · 28/06/2021 15:11

That’s not your own business. The business belongs to Avon.

cocomelonz · 28/06/2021 15:15

Stay away!! You will put in a lot more money than you get out and possibly loose a load of friends a long the way.

SpaceRaiders · 28/06/2021 15:16

Complete waste of time. It’s an MLM.

Avon already own the Avon business and make a fortune from it. You mean you want to sign a contract to be committed to purchasing a certain value of their products every month.

Howshouldibehave · 28/06/2021 15:31

You won’t be starting up a business. You will be selling Avon products! Do it if you want to work for a MLM company but don’t be under any illusions about it being your own business.

ElderMillennial · 28/06/2021 15:34

It's not your own business. You would just be selling Avon products. It's an MLM.

Moondust1973 · 28/06/2021 15:36

lol no need to be contradictry you knew exactly what i meant judging by your responses so no need for the attitude

Or more accurately, buying Avon products and hopefully selling some of them.
UhtredRagnarson · 28/06/2021 15:38

How much do you currently spend on Avon products every month OP?

Moondust1973 · 28/06/2021 15:41

thats irrelevant and doesnt answer my question judging by the arrogance and negativity on here ill ask elsewhere

So you spend nothing? you've asked a question but don't like the answers. ..,why?
BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 28/06/2021 15:43

I dont use an Avon rep. If I want to purchase something, I go direct to their website.

In order to sell Avon stuff as a Rep I would imagine that you need to have a customer base who dont shop online. Do you have that?

knickertrick · 28/06/2021 15:44

A good friend of mine tried it.

Unfortunately there wasn't enough demand for the products, she needed to be selling loads to even make a worthwhile profit. In the end she quit after 2months having made a loss.

Wouldn't reccomend it to anyone OP. Maybe start your own small business instead (ie not part of a scheme)

Moondust1973 · 28/06/2021 15:45

didnt say i was doing it i said i was considering it why do you think im asking for feedback from people who have sold for them yet all ive had is hostillity if youve got not nothing constructive to say say nothing at all

It’s not irrelevant. I’m asking because when you sign up to be an Avon ‘rep’ you are committing to spending a certain amount in each campaign, if you are already spending around that amount then you might as well sign up and get the rep discount. But if you’re not spending anything currently then you’ll find after the first month or two when your friends stop buying off you you’ll have to buy stuff yourself to avoid the fine. So it will just cost you money.

I was trying to help, having experienced Avon myself. But never mind. Piss your money up whichever wall you like.

Howshouldibehave · 28/06/2021 15:47

I don’t know anyone that makes a living from it, no. There is a TA at work who does it but says it makes her diddly squat compared to her TA wage and I know TAs are paid appallingly, so I would imagine you make next to nothing!

Moondust1973 · 28/06/2021 15:47

you spend nothing? you've asked a question but don't like the answers. ..,why? - silly comment you dont need to have bought from a company to sell or work for them

I used to sell Avon and was going to give advice but you are so fucking rude to pp i won't bother.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 28/06/2021 15:50

A friend of DH's has just got into it, and DH has got a load of stuff effectively 'free' as a result. None of it is that special and I don't think it's going especially well for him (the friend, I mean).

UhtredRagnarson · 28/06/2021 15:51

With Avon that’s literally what you’re doing! You’re the customer!

Moondust1973 · 28/06/2021 15:51

wont lose any sleep over it dead thanks anywaysSmile
