How is everyone getting on with Tpro I feel like im managing to get to grips with it now. How has everyone got on with payment from them on time? I have a Revolut account so hoping no issues for first time payment

Chrissols · 29/09/2020 18:50

@charlie1424 I struggle with Tpro, I cannot understand the terminology in the strong accents......Pay seems pretty good, was a day late last month but I'm putting it down to it being my first payment. Apparently pay is always on the 7th of the month

@Chrissols I have had one of those bloody days, feeling really frustrated at the moment the dictation is so poor it's like they cannot even be bothered to speak !!! 😱 what with that and the COVID kicking off again, I'm on the wine 🍷 now I've had enough

Chrissols · 29/09/2020 18:54

@Meha5 wine....now there's an idea, think I might join you

@charlie1424 I’m on my first month with Tpro and actually really enjoying it. It’s great to be busy and I like the variation. I’m just wondering about the invoice to them and if I should just do similar to Dict8?

charlie1424 · 29/09/2020 19:18

I am not finding the accents too hard but there some are very hard to understand though and its getting used to different terminology. The pay is great though compared to anything else I have done

charlie1424 · 29/09/2020 19:20

Yes the work is always there which is great nice to log on and know you can earn money. I emailed accounts dept for a template invoice as never invoiced before with previous ones i worked for as never worked for Dict8

Sallycinnamon79 · 29/09/2020 19:46

@charlie1424 that’s a good idea. I wonder whether I should do the same. Is it a basic invoice style?

charlie1424 · 29/09/2020 20:28

Yes very straightforward 😀

Meha5 · 30/09/2020 14:25

@Sallycinnamon79 how long did it take to get started with TPRO. I put in my CV just before first lockdown. I am wondering whether I should reapply

Gally123 · 30/09/2020 15:00

@Meha5 - I was wondering about resubmitting my CV to TPro as well. I had sort of started the process and was due to have the typing test sent through when everything was put on hold. I was told I would be contacted again but so far have heard nothing. When I was due to go away on holiday (which got cancelled at the last minute) I emailed them to say I would be away as my family suggested that if they contacted me and I did not reply (as away and no email etc) they might think I was no longer interested, however all I got was an out of office reply and that was a month ago.

With DICT8 as it is I still want someone else to type for as one company does not seem to be enough.

Poppy379 · 30/09/2020 15:03

@Meha5 - Funny you've just posted that, as I was just about to ask everyone how long it took for TPro to get back to applicants! I applied after the start of lockdown, after seeing so much positive feedback about them, but I haven't heard a peep either. I wasn't sure whether I should take the silence as a resounding 'thanks but no thanks' or whether my CV is gradually working its way up from the bottom of the pile!

Sallycinnamon79 · 30/09/2020 15:38

@Meha5 I also applied before lockdown and then I got back in touch with them after lockdown when they had started recruiting again. The process was all very quick though from then on.

Gally123 · 01/10/2020 12:18

well just had the worst morning for a long time with DICT8 so in desperation I re-contacted T-Pro and got the reply that they are not taking on typists at the moment, but are recruiting voice recognition checkers (at a reduced pay compared to the info I was sent before). However, it cannot be worse than DICT8 is at the moment.

Chrissols · 02/10/2020 13:02

@Gally123 out of interest what rate are they paying for voice recognition checkers? I am just wondering which rate they have put me on?

OP posts:
Gally123 · 02/10/2020 13:19

@Chrissols - the two rates are 0.0011 cents per character/0.0715 per line or 0.00077 cents per character/0.05 cents per line, which I think make sense as checking should be a lower rate than a typist who has done all the hard work - however, I have not experienced voice recognition yet - so if it turns out to be a nightmare I might change my mind, but basically listening to something and correcting it where necessary is presumably quicker than starting from scratch with typing and checking your own work before you submit it.

Meha5 · 02/10/2020 13:24

thanks for the info about TPRO.

It's been a really slow week 😴

Chrissols · 02/10/2020 13:25

@Gally123 ah, yes they put me on the higher rate, but I still find it's a little less than Dict8 but the work is readily available. To be honest, I find the voice recognition slower if anything, I delete it and type from scratch as it has every cough, splutter, full stop(I mean the words not .), new paragraph etc......little things like two spaces after a full stop which is natural to a typist but voice recognition just seems to put one. That aside, there is always work available......definitely no need for refresh......refresh.......refresh

OP posts:
Gally123 · 02/10/2020 13:39

@Chrissols - thanks for the info on voice recognition. As to having two spaces after a full stop, there is apparently a computer update (I have not had it yet) that when using Word for documents it highlights it as an error if you leave two spaces; as ever, I think it is a new American thing they expect everyone to abide by. Books have had one space for some time now.

Chrissols · 02/10/2020 14:02

@Gally123 T-pro did bring it to my attention when I started that it must always be two spaces which I am actually glad about as it feels right now after x amount of years lol

OP posts:
Gally123 · 02/10/2020 14:16

@Chrissols - I am surprised that the VR software does not put two spaces automatically. At my last hospital when they were considering buying a package (an awful lot of money was spent before they decided not to go ahead, long story) we were told that it could be adjusted slightly to requirement, frequently used words and phrases etc.

I have an author friend (as mentioned previously) and after she had written her first novel it was pointed out that in books there is only one space left after a full stop and she had to go through her entire manuscript and delete all the excess spaces....

Chrissols · 05/10/2020 10:46

Not seen a single task this morning......how's it been for everyone else?

OP posts:
Gally123 · 05/10/2020 11:11

tasks but with poor sound, lots of background noise etc

Chrissols · 05/10/2020 11:25

Not seen one and the morning's over. Crazy

OP posts:
Meha5 · 05/10/2020 16:41

I wish when you get feedback on a task with poor sound quality that they could at least acknowledge this before going on the attack !!!! maybe a thumbs up for getting most of it !!!!! 👿 especially when it has been lingering around for days - say no more !!!!
