I have been working s/e with Dict8 for 3 years now and my payment by cheques are arriving later and later. My last cheque arrived 8 days after it was issued and I noticed they are now sending cheques second class. Does anyone else work for Dict8 on here and, if so, are you finding that your cheque is arriving much later than it used to? I have direct debits set up deliberately for the middle of the month in order that my cheque would have cleared in time but now I am worrying that even by 15th of each month the cheque will not have cleared. Sorry for the ramble but just curious if others have noticed this.

@Chrissols. Mine hasn't but they probably won't get it 'til tomorrow.
Is it just me or is there no work coming in today?

@danblack87 they have had my invoice for a week now so a bit concerning really. I have had very little work today, but yesterday was an okay day

Perhaps the lack of work coming through the system is beginning to affect their finances as well so they are not so keen to pay out as they have less money themselves.
I actually had the best day yesterday for many weeks, and generally have seen an improvement since the beginning of the month.

@Chrissols Mine has been processed, but not received it yet. Today started off really well - 11 tasks in a row first thing this morning, but nothing since, however, I have been away from the computer this afternoon. Keep on refreshing!

I have had quite a few, very early and then after 9.30 a few oncology related ones again, they are understandably having to do a lot of catching up and I know this is a new hospital they have taken on since the pandemic. No more for a while now though.

I have done a fair few tasks today - more than the last three days which were not great ... but work has now stopped coming through.

I am having no real problems (other than the quality of the dictations); there are a few gaps but the tasks are coming through. It was a later start that normal this morning, gone 8 am before I saw anything. I think it is slowing down now though.

I've been busy for the past two weeks! hope it keeps up. Only one task showing at a time which I grab, but when I've typed that and refresh another magically appears and that's how it's been all day every day, so I can't complain. I'm typing for a couple of new hospitals, that I haven't had before so maybe we are going to be lucky. Still it would be nice to see 40 plus as before so you can make what money you set out to for the day and be able to stop and get on with other things like we used to. It has to pick up there must be such a back log

Well here we go again. No tasks so far today, and all looking a bit grim again. Just hope we are eligible for the next phase of self employed grant in August.

@carosel2: Well done - you are very fortunate to be busy. Good to hear things are picking up. Tasks are still thin on the ground for me, although I would say over the last week there has been a slight increase in work. I did smile when you talked about hitting a daily target before going off and doing something else! As far as I'm concerned, that's a dim and distant memory - I honestly haven't been able to do that since about 2012/2013. Generally I just have to keep going all day and hope for the best, often with dire results! I won't ask what field(s) of medicine you type, but it seems (and I'm referring to before the pandemic hit) there must either be a lot more transcribers or a lot less work being submitted across the fields I type as I haven't been able to work consistently throughout the day for years.
