Pay with Dict8

juju1507 · 09/03/2015 09:19

I have been working s/e with Dict8 for 3 years now and my payment by cheques are arriving later and later. My last cheque arrived 8 days after it was issued and I noticed they are now sending cheques second class. Does anyone else work for Dict8 on here and, if so, are you finding that your cheque is arriving much later than it used to? I have direct debits set up deliberately for the middle of the month in order that my cheque would have cleared in time but now I am worrying that even by 15th of each month the cheque will not have cleared. Sorry for the ramble but just curious if others have noticed this.

The tasks for the specialties I do have been coming I, sporadically, but again, you have to be real quick. I have had back-dated letters too.

carosel2 · 10/06/2020 14:23

Yes me too with backdated letters and not great dictation, so yes I agree, perhaps the secretaries have left these and they are now beginning to building up for us to type.

Chrissols · 10/06/2020 15:13

I've found it very quiet, fortunately the two I have had were 10 minute ones

Gally123 · 10/06/2020 15:20

I am averaging one letter every two hours or so today.

danblack87 · 11/06/2020 09:15

@Gally123: I averaged about a letter every 1.5 hrs yesterday … grim, but better than before !! Not seen any yet.

Chrissols · 11/06/2020 10:24

I get up hopeful every morning, two hours later after sitting here with no tasks I get the same sinking feeling.......

danblack87 · 11/06/2020 10:35

I have just had the weirdest thing happen with 'refreshing'. I pressed it once and then it kept on refreshing about every 2 seconds or so by itself. I logged out as quick as I could because it was not of my volition and I was worried I would get pulled up for it (as I have read has happened to a couple of you guys in the past)! Has it happened to anyone else? When I logged back in it was fine Confused and there was a task to type!!

Chrissols · 11/06/2020 12:12

@danblack87 never had that happen, and like you, I always am careful about how much I refresh as the last thing I want is locking out

danblack87 · 11/06/2020 12:59

@Chrissols: I would hate to be locked out … when I read messages on here previously; by a couple of transcribers (and the stiffness of the way in which it was dealt with); I was horrified Hence, I was rather 'spooked' when this automatic refreshing 'thing' happened to me this morning. Maybe that is what happened to someone before and it wasn't picked up on? … I don't have any hardware for such a thing and, as a complete technophobe, I wouldn't even know where to start to consider/create such a master plan LOL.
All's okay now but it scared me to death Blush.

danblack87 · 11/06/2020 13:27

Chrissols: Tasks are slow and SOooooooooooooo far between today, practically not there, I feel like giving up Sad … it's only 1:30 pm! Let's see what the afternoon brings, if anything Hmm. Fingers x'd right now.

Chrissols · 11/06/2020 16:32

@danblack87 it did pick up quite a bit today, slow waits inbetween tasks, but managed to grab a couple of long ones - thank goodness

Gally123 · 12/06/2020 09:53

Has anyone typed anything this morning? It's nearly 10 am and it is so quiet. It's not normally this bad in the morning, not for me anyway, normally it is in the afternoon when there is nothing for hours and hours.

Chrissols · 12/06/2020 10:37

@Gally123 it's been dismal this morning. I started really early as someone mentioned way back in the comments it was busy around 7.30am.......I am still waiting!!

danblack87 · 12/06/2020 10:41

@Gally123 and @Chrissols: It is very quiet today … I started at 8.30 am and have typed 6 short letters. Afternoons are worse for me too so I am not looking forward to that.

Chrissols · 12/06/2020 15:38

How's it been for everyone? I have found it to be painfully slow, thank goodness for the odd long one, although it would be better if there wasn't an hour's wait in between

Gally123 · 12/06/2020 16:32

dreadful - hardly anything all day, and I have several specialties although I don't think I have seen any letters at all in one of them today. Worst day of the week - and I had broadband issues yesterday!

Chrissols · 12/06/2020 17:36

Hopefully it's just been a bad week, maybe a lot of annual leave being taken as I haven't heard many of the usual consultants dictating at all this week

carosel2 · 12/06/2020 18:18

Nothing! two tasks this morning showing that kept being put back, yet again to bad dictation! Angry but nothing followed. What a waste of a day Sad

danblack87 · 13/06/2020 09:03

Morning all, exactly like you guys just dreadfully, awfully slow Sad and at least 2 hours between seeing any tasks Shock.

Chrissols · 13/06/2020 10:39

I thought I would check today to see if there were any to make up for yesterday......nope, can't remember the last time I saw one at a weekend😥😥

danblack87 · 13/06/2020 11:42

Chrissols: There have been two this morning in one of my specialties but nothing else to see.

danblack87 · 14/06/2020 13:07

I don't know what is going on but weekends seem to be lucrative for me today and a couple of other weekends rather than the past 3/4 week days!! It is so strange Confused. Has anyone else found the same in their specialties?

Meha5 · 14/06/2020 16:48

I was lucky too this weekend !

Chrissols · 15/06/2020 09:37

I didn't look this weekend.....wish I had, been sat here since 7.30am and not a single task has shown yet

danblack87 · 15/06/2020 10:51

@Chrissols: The speciality I was typing was Plastic Surgery but I do not know if this is one of your specialties or @Meha's?
