Pay with Dict8

juju1507 · 09/03/2015 09:19

I have been working s/e with Dict8 for 3 years now and my payment by cheques are arriving later and later. My last cheque arrived 8 days after it was issued and I noticed they are now sending cheques second class. Does anyone else work for Dict8 on here and, if so, are you finding that your cheque is arriving much later than it used to? I have direct debits set up deliberately for the middle of the month in order that my cheque would have cleared in time but now I am worrying that even by 15th of each month the cheque will not have cleared. Sorry for the ramble but just curious if others have noticed this.

@Chrissols - I had the same thing - where I worked for 20 odd years all drugs were names and therefore had a capital letter (except aspirin I think). There are many rules that DICT8 have made that seems unique to them but they try and convince us they are standard practice.

Of course, BNF is also online but I just find google easier and quicker.

Gally123 · 15/05/2020 09:53

@Chrissols- forgot to say, what I do now is, I type every drug in lower case and then see what comes up on their spellcheck, then double check anything I am unsure of with google.

Chrissols · 15/05/2020 09:56

@Gally123 why didn't I think of that.......................🥴 a good tip, thank you

danblack87 · 15/05/2020 10:26

@chrissols - I use Google too (my BNF went into the 'archeological' filing bin a many years ago!!) I have only had a report a few times that the I had typed a drug name wrong (i.e. Capital or no Capital)

Filled in my HMRC claim yesterday as eligible and now just waiting for the money to go into my bank (smile)

ElleBee56 · 17/05/2020 11:11

@danblack87 me too. We can relax a bit now.

danblack87 · 17/05/2020 12:35

@ElleBee56: We can, so we can smile a little bit I guess. Don't stop the boredom though. Busy in the garden building a new rockery hahaha - I hate manual labour LOL

Day started quite well really today with work but then rapidly declined later Sad.

Chrissols · 18/05/2020 16:41

I've hardly had a thing today

Chrissols · 20/05/2020 17:20

Very busy day today 😀😀

Gally123 · 20/05/2020 17:41

@Chrissols - I had a good Monday (not great or back to normal) but a very quiet day today; but I did not mind as my HMRC grant payment came through yesterday.

homeworkmum · 20/05/2020 17:44

@gally123 my Monday was quiet but had a really good day today 😁

Chrissols · 20/05/2020 17:50

@Gally123 @homeworkmum by Monday was abysmal, hardly a thing all day.

danblack87 · 21/05/2020 13:34

Yesterday was a reasonably good day but by now means anywhere near normal and today is positively on the downside. Still my money from HMRC is in the bank .. so, upside I guess?

Chrissols · 21/05/2020 13:51

Today is not worth bothering, 2 tasks so far.....

Gally123 · 21/05/2020 14:07

Very quiet morning, then a flurry at lunchtime when I am hungry. Managed a quick snack but it has slowed down again now.

danblack87 · 21/05/2020 14:17

Well, I am off into the garden whilst it is nice .. I am not sitting here refreshing any more - just isn't worth it today. Sad.

Chrissols · 22/05/2020 10:17

Nothing yet again 😥

Chrissols · 22/05/2020 10:51

Is anyone else seeing tasks? I'm not even seeing flash ups?

danblack87 · 22/05/2020 11:35

@Chrissols: Some tasks (not many) a few flash-up's so far Sad.

Chrissols · 22/05/2020 11:39

@danblack87 I have made 24p so far lol

danblack87 · 22/05/2020 11:50

@Chrissols: Is it getting worse instead of better? I think so?? Tuesday I earnt 50p and yesterday, I just gave up after typing 3 letters I think it was. It is so soul destroying especially when you are just sitting there fingers poised over the keyboard Hmm.

Chrissols · 22/05/2020 11:53

@danblack87 it does seem to be getting worse doesn't it? You're right, it is soul destroying just waiting and refreshing and then when you do see a task it disappears in a flash.

danblack87 · 22/05/2020 12:28

@Chrissols: I am thinking about making a thermos of tea and some sandwiches first thing in the morning / possibly having a catheter fitted LOL that way I can stay at the desk and not miss anything at all (so long as I am quick enough to pick-up)!!! Well, you have to laugh in the face of adversity but it is not really funny at all Wink, Brew, Smile.

Chrissols · 22/05/2020 13:00

@danblack87 you do have to keep a sense of humour but it's hard. Bank holiday again this week so no work on Monday, but at least we know in advance there will be no work rather thank just sitting.....waiting...hoping
