How do you know they were masquerading? After all, it’s their internal cognition that matters, not the consent (or lack thereof) of the other individual as a trans woman does not require the consent of a woman.

You'd think, wouldn't you. You'd also presumably assume trans women wouldn't be fathering children, or trans men going through pregnancy.

Let's just keep things simple and use language that everyone understands that doesn't obscure the facts. A man raped a child. The man says or said that he identifies as a woman. Nobody has ever explained how this statement is less valid because the man concerned is a violent sexual predator. Are we saying that when someone says 'I identify as ...' it's to be taken as true if they are not a convicted criminal and false if they are? Where does that leave Scarlet Blake, Alan Baker, SarahJane Baker and Paris Green?

‘Assume’ is doing a LOT of heavy lifting in that sentence. Given 98% of TW keep their penis it would seem that it isn’t particularly relevant part of what they think makes them a woman.

Many of the most fervent trans rights activists who come here to lecture women would say that is a transphobic statement. They are very keen to say that convicted female prisoners can be violent and sexual predators.

As far as I can make out from 10+ years of this madness, you can put no conditions at all on whether to accept someone as truly trans or not. If X says 'I identify as a woman/man/non-binary/genderqueer/catgender/aromantic/anything at all' what is required of everyone else is to say 'Yay! Go you! You are now simultaneously one of the most special people on earth and also one of the most persecuted. If anybody dares to query what you've just said that means they want you dead and if you did harm yourself blood would be on their hands'.

You would be amazed. It’s a good idea to look beyond the simplistic “woman trapped in a man’s body”sad narrative and at the psychological state of someone who believes they are the other sex or find it erotic to role play as the other sex. Or how much some seem to really hate women because they know that they can’t ever become one.

They are men, and some men will rape, no matter how it is dressed up. Most do not remove their genitals; it is well documented that loss of sex drive can also remove the erotic interest in cross dressing (for those for whom this is the primary motivation).

It is a complicated picture and “gender dysphoria” is only a small part of it.

Everybody should keep the body parts they are born with unless there is good medical reason to have them removed, e.g. cancer, appendicitis, sepsis, gangrene, serious gynaecological conditions. Nothing should be removed in the hope that it will alleviate a psychological problem, far less because of a sexual fetish.
