Man arrested for self identifying as a converted muslim woman.

I think this throws the door open for all kinds of questions about fairness.

Men have been banned from covering their faces at protests so one man identified as a muslim woman and wore a burka, he was arrested.

I've seen 2 media outlets so far with headlines reporting that 'a man' has been arrested.

If we break it down...

If a 'real' muslim woman attends a protest (a Pro Palestine one for example) would she be arrested?

Has he been arrested for wearing the burka or identifying as a woman falsly?

Why is he not believed when he says he is a woman?

After all, it is fluid day to day and just a feeling! And any man can decide to become a woman at any point?

And who says he cannot decide to convert to Islam??

And why is he being reported as 'a man in a burka' when transwomen are NEVER reported this way when they self identify, even after committing rape?!

We all know why he is doing this.

But he is simply playing the establishment at their own game.

Why have so many Palestine protests occoured with men covering their faces with Kaffirs and balaclavas but it only becomes a problem now?

Why is it a problem to self identify now?

Why is it not a problem for a muslim woman to cover her face in a bank or school or park but this 'muslim woman' cannot?

Of course its ridiculous

But the point is that ALL self identification and complete covering of the face in public is ridiculous

But its only this man be arresed and called out for seemingly both things?

Man arrested for self identifying as a converted muslim woman.

Well actually. Antifa always wear masks when they try to intimidate women at women’s events. Would you put them in the same category as the anti-immigration posters? If not, why not?

The difference being the people are protesting against the government, and the government don't like it, which is why they will use every trick in their considerable book to 'discourage' the people from protesting them. Hence the face coverings.

Exactly. And Antifa are just trying to intimidate women so the government doesn’t give a shit about stopping them

Notsurewhattodonowattheend · 12/09/2026 23:27

A lot of us recall protests like this in London that went on for months. It was intimidating. Nothing was done. No one was required to remove their face coverings.

I think there should be no face coverings for anyone protesting. No exceptions.

Especially as most of them, Hope Not Hate, are government funded and highly placed in the government.

I think there should be no face coverings full stop - no balaclavas, face masks, religious face coverings etc. All should be outlawed (& then properly enforced).

I don’t think anyone should be wearing masks to intimidate, even if it was a march against child abuse etc

Its disingenuous to imply that you’re ok with masks.

If you saw a group of men walking down the street with their faces on show vs wearing balaclavas - you would 100% be more intimidated by the group wearing balaclavas

I completely agree.

If I saw 300 people wearing burkas walking towards me, I would feel very intimidated. It should be all face coverings, the burka is not a religious garment (it’s cultural), it bares no more religious significance than a balaclava. Ban all face coverings during protest, no excuses.

I completely agree that all face coverings should be banned during protests.

I fully support peaceful protests.

I do not support any protest that uses intimidation or violence to get their message across.

It was a publicity stunt to highlight when face coverings for all should be scrapped. It was funny to see him using the gender argument too. I mean this is the crazy world we are expected to accept, so many tiers to Policing.
The law should be the law of the land, more than one culture is allowed their own rules.
I hope that he isn't harmed for being an annoyance.

MintBird · Yesterday 00:13

He wasn't arrested for "self identifying as a converted muslim woman". We aren't stupid.

He's a violent far-right thug trying to be smart and bypass the face covering ban the police had to put in place because of the violence and disruption that came with the last far-right rally in Glasgow Green.

I hope the media exposes the thugs who attended in the coming days like they did after the last rally.

Oh yes, me too. And next time antifa protest a women’s rights rally, they’ll get the same treatment.

I wonder if Alan Miller was at Sat's far right rally in Glasgow again? A far-right man who beat up 2 of his ex's and his mum. Even if he wore a balaclava this time we'd still have a way to recognise him.

ty DR keep exposing them.

Far right thug who marched as "defender of women" battered his own mum

Alan Miller took to streets on march to "Protect Our Women and Kids". We can now reveal that he was convicted of assaulting his own mum at her home

I agree they should be exposed. All violent men should be exposed, whatever side of the political spectrum they are on

Is anyone "exposing" violent men from the refugees are welcome here brigade or the pro Palestine lot? I think this "exposing" is saved for the stop the "stop the boats" protesters is it not? Which is exactly what my earlier posts are about freedom of expression - as long as the left approve. Freedom of political opinion as long as you are a leftie is not freedom of political opinion at all.

thefeetarefirst · Yesterday 07:30

Winter2020 · 12/09/2026 22:57

I don't think face coverings are being worn to intimidate or commit a crime (by the anti boat protesters). I think they are being worn because we don't have freedom of speech, freedom of political expression or freedom of protest on this country - so if people could see who they are they would be discriminated against/ sacked from their jobs etc - simply for protesting the boats landing while the majority of British people don't want the boats either.

We clearly dont have a free democracy /freedom of political choice. We have people in roles such as fire fighters warned for canvassing for reform, politicians from different parties refusing to work with reform councillors/leaders despite them being democratically elected etc. If Reform are elected it's going to be very clear that the left don't believe in democracy as they throw their toys out of the pram.

If we had the freedom to protest without being subject to discrimination the anti boat protests would be hundreds of thousands of people if not millions.

This is spot on.

But it’s not just the government, it’s the media too. And the police.

Everyone is suddenly up in arms about it because white working class men are doing what left wing ‘activists’ have been doing without comment or media outrage for decades.

thefeetarefirst · Yesterday 07:47

ghostyslovesheets · 12/09/2026 18:37

They actually don’t

They do it to protect men from feeling lustful. It’s to protect men. In Islam Zina ( fornication and adultery) are sins which can result in hell. Hell is described repeatedly and graphically as a place of terrible torture in the Qu’ran. It’s a very real and literal place and the vast majority of Muslims believe in it. Women cover to protect men from Zina and consequent hell. There’s not much, if any, notion of women being lustful in Islam, but huge emphasis on men’s lust and sexual gratification.

Modern western Muslim women may talk about wearing niqab to feel closer to God or so they aren’t judged on looks, but these don’t explain why women cover and not men.

The origins and still real religious purpose of covering is to prevent men from going to hell.

I agree, I consider the police and the mainstream media to be some of the tricks the government is using against the population, they're just as much a part of the establishment as the CPS, the law serves the government not the people. The only influence the people have on the legal process is in the shape of the Jury and guess what the government is trying to do away with.

He’s not identifying. He’s disguising himself using a burqa, to try and get away with hiding his face.

Anonfortoday2 · Yesterday 07:55

How stupid that’s like saying we should all be able to carry knife because Sikh people carry a Kirpan. Common sense people. And he probably thought he was being smart , funny

Cardhey · Yesterday 07:57

But why can some people choose to identify as something else and it’s okay but not here? It’s all a slippery slope. Let’s go back to being Great Britain and not this shit show.

He's not disguising himself at all he's making a political statement, he's protesting his government's hypocrisy and crass decision to sudenly make wearing face coverings at a protest illegal dispite it being a common ploy used by others for years.
