Parents who don’t subscribe to the delusional transgenderist ideology support their children’s nonconformity to stereotypes. The children who fake conformity, or try to escape into trans identities generally do so as a result of unsupported neurodivergence, or peer pressure, or internalised (or external) homophobia, or as an escape route from the trauma of sexual abuse. Thankfully good law and good teaching are prioritising safeguarding and working to let children be themselves in safety, with the opportunity to express themselves and explore their worlds - without fixing them for ever in a life of lies and ill health.

I'm in England and was pleased to see the changes being brought in wef September 2026 following the KCSIE updated statutory guidance surrounding both single sex spaces and gender questioning children. Our annual safeguarding training covered the subject giving clarity to the school's obligation to provide single sex spaces and to seek parental involvement where children are questioning their gender. The days of immediately affirming and going against parents wishes are over.
