Polycule falls apart

I expect people remember that Heather Herbert (charged in relation to social media comments he made after Ann Widdecombe's death) is in a polycule with Sophie Molly (aka Sparkles, aka Euan Weddell) and someone called Poppybear.

Molly, I believe, is a witness for Jolyon Maugham in Sarah Phillimore's libel case against Maugham.

Poppybear has been posting some very indiscreet posts on BlueSky about both Molly and Herbert, and it looks, tragically, as if the polycule has fallen apart.

According to Poppybear, Herbert's comments about Widdecombe "painted a bullseye on all of us", and led to the police coming in and "invading" all their devices (whatever that means).

Also according to Poppybear, living with Sophie Molly is "like being permanently slapped around the face by pathological laziness unless it's something that grooms her ego."

Oh dear.

In a separate development, apparently Herbert has had his toxic kidney removed by the NHS so the money donated to the fundraiser is going to be used for something else:

For a moment I thought someone had revived that thread from ovarit

Such sad times for the former polycule

Davros · 31/07/2026 21:50

Is Angel Delight a new recruit to the polycule?

Lalgarh · 31/07/2026 21:51

You're really better off not knowing

BezMark · 31/07/2026 21:54

It's very sad times indeed.

I hope they did find comfort in their relationships, because all of them seem troubled and traumatised and I can relate to that.

Pp made very good points that err how the heck did some of these people get seriously considered as political candidates... was it really some kind of genderwashing or what? Yeah honestly wow.

I am so pleased to hear that the poorly little kidney has been set free.

Fly high, dream big.

If they're also part of the vore community one of them might have had it with some fava beans and a bottle of Chianti

Four unhappy chaps couldn’t house share successfully? Plus, they dress funny.

anyway, yeah.

Sounds familiar...

It's probably for the best that the polycule dissolves, they egg each other on and might be quieter individually. One can dare to dream.

Just wondering what the revolutionary gender statement is being made by this collection. In trying to be "different", all they're doing is reinforcing generalisations that have been made down the ages.
My wife made a brilliant point, she would quite like a harem where her as a woman can dump chores, let her hair go permanently grey, and be surrounded by Hugh Jackman, Aidan Turner, Mark Strong, oh and me, in her collection of choice.
But as she said, none of these arrangements ever work out this way.
Even the so-called gender revolutionaries revert to sad stereotypes and well worn tropes

murasaki · 31/07/2026 22:52

To be fair they all avoided the gender stereotype of doing the cleaning.

The thing that normally breaks alt living.

There's a documentary about a polycule I saw called Three Men and a Baby (not the tom selleck film) recently. 2 gay men add a trans man to their household and explore the deep thoughts of what this meant now that one of them would be a father.

Guess which member got to do the cooking and housework whilst pregnant.

Forced out of town seems a little over dramatic. I bet he wasn't driven to the city edges and bagpiped out of there.

murasaki · 31/07/2026 23:27

I've now got a nut bush city limits thing going on. In a bad way.

My wife said her harem would only last more than a week if Hugh Jackman did the shopping, Aidan Turner did the cooking, Mark Strong did the cleaning, and I did the buying her art, beer and jewellery.
Since she could only guarantee me coming thru, the harem would be short lived.
Too bad!
More seriously, <ARE> there any polygamous setups where one woman has three men, and they're liberated enough, selfless enough, gender non-confirming enough, to give her what she wants, when she wants it? All the time?
Because any woman in a polycule (likely a transman) isn't getting anything other than drudgery.

These are 4 blokes playing dress up - although at least one of them has gone down the surgery route - helloooo toxic kidney (aka dicking around with your internal plumbing).

Did Scott give in to having to be on a male ward for having it done on the NHS?

Doubt it, it is Scotland. I feel sorry for any women on his ward. Hopefully he was in a private room, alone with his ego.

Rumour was he wouldn’t have it done on the NHS because they’d put him on a male ward. What with him being a man.

I'm sure I read somewhere he was told it would be a private room.

murasaki · 31/07/2026 23:55

I hope it was. My mum has major kidney issues (plugged into home dialysis every night by my lovely dad) and during the hospital phase she wouldn't have stood for that man in her room, being the bolshy woman she is. She even mobilised the younger ones to stage a rebellion re the lights, so I wouldn't have fancied his chances.

I know! Not only are they not female, but they're all 40 plus on a good day.

murasaki · 01/08/2026 00:16

Maybe it was an aural software malfunction that confused ghouls for girls.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 01/08/2026 00:18

Quite possibly!
