I've had a search and I can't find one. She's the chair of Police SEEN, and is up for gross misconduct, for making the following comments in the police station where she was based:

  1. all men should be on a curfew
  2. see, that wouldn’t have happened if men were on a curfew (in response to a reported rape)
  3. all men are rapists
  4. I hate men
  5. trans women are all cocks in frocks.

The tribunal tweets coverage is here:

Hi everyone, sorry I haven’t been back on, I think I might be the busiest unemployed person in history! Thanks for all the support and for the interesting discussion of my case and the issues it raises. I’m so pleased it’s generated conversations about women’s freedom of movement. I’ve been doing media interviews over the last couple of days and am possibly going on Free Speech Nation on GB News on Sunday 😳 but mostly I’ve been thinking about how lucky I am to have received so much amazing support.

Thanks for your comment. Next time I’m having a casual, private conversation with a colleague at work about how women’s movements are restricted I’ll be sure to include every possible caveat to insure my comments against the most microscopic possible scrutiny.

I always get people to sign an NDA before even the most benign of interactions. I thought everyone did 😁

All the best 😊

Time for my standard comment that anyone can claim to be anyone the internet and we do not know if FellOutTheLoft is actually who she claims to be. On a previous occasion we have had someone turn up on mumsnet claiming to be the person involved in a tribunal and gradually start making the sort of comments that discouraged support, It eventually became obvious they were fake, Sorry OP but if you hang around you'll see that we have various kinds of trans activists as well as kids, especially in school and university holidays, making stuff up.

You may not to be aware of people in different SEENs being targeted. You might be interested in the Defra tribunal with Tinkerbell.

If there is any possibility you might need to claim benefits I'm not sure how the crowdfunder affects that as it's above the savings limit. In theory that's 16k, in practise nearer 6k.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 04/08/2026 21:58

She hasn’t said anything to make me think she isn’t Rachel Fletcher. It’s quite common for people to come to MN when they have a case. She’s on Twitter.

You’re quite right, there’s no way to tell if I am who I say I am and I’d always encourage people to be cautious of people turning up and claiming to be someone especially if they’ve not been around before. If someone like that starts asking people for things, whether that be donations or to publicly declare support for something, I’d be especially suspicious. Fortunately I have no intention of doing anything like that. A friend told me I was mentioned on here so I thought I’d come and say hi and answer any questions people might have. But again, take answers to any questions with a pinch of salt unless you do have evidence to confirm who I am!

I’ve included a photo of myself with my cat in her usual spot. Nobody else has this photo, it’s only on my phone so if anyone is a clever image looker-upper they shouldn’t be able to find it anywhere.

Does your cat identify as a parrot? 😂

Frequently. And a baby. And my supervisor at online meetings!

ViolaSororia · 04/08/2026 23:47

I'm whispering so it's not traumatised into thinking it's been skinned, but AI's reverse search on the image suggests that the cat is in fact a fur-lined hood.

She’s definitely still whole. And I included my glass, which came today, as further proof!

Haha fantastic! Lovely cat 🐈‍⬛

ViolaSororia · 05/08/2026 00:22

I'm glad she's not a fur-lined hood.😁

anyolddinosaur · 05/08/2026 08:51

Initially our fake person seemed plausible, that's how it works. We have no reason not to believe OP, it's just the standard warning. Cat tax is always good.

Appearing on tv may not help with finding other work, I imagine that is going to be difficult. Pleased to see the fundraiser has gone well.

Rachel has taken the force to an employment tribunal, due to be heard next year. Hopefully the lack of evidence in the misconduct hearing and the lack of dismissals in the cases of male officers will persuade the tribunal that is simple sex discrimination.

My ET is actually on the grounds of discrimination because of my GC views rather than sex. There’s a lot more to the case than just the confected nonsense from the misconduct hearing, that is part of the discrimination but it goes much further back. All the force has achieved in sacking me is ripping the top off a huge can of squirming worms and enabling me to stand pointing at them and shouting about it.

Thanks for all the support, it’s really heartwarming, and for the great discussion. Even those who disagree are making interesting points and what’s most important is that people are talking about the issues the case raises.

Thank you to those who’ve donated to the gofundme, it is a huge relief to know I can pay the mortgage for some time to come while I work out my next steps and is overwhelming to me that people want to give me money to ensure myself and my kids are taken care of. Having said that there’s more than enough to see us through for a good while in there now so please don’t contribute if you haven’t already or I might get to used to getting paid for nothing and fully transition into Waynetta Slob!

I’ve helped many male victims as well as female during my service and have treated everyone I’ve come into contact with with courtesy and dignity - even the paedophiles. I was not the jury, my job was to gather evidence, support victims and try and get to the truth and that’s what I did. My last case was late last year and the offender was sentenced to 23 years in prison in February this year. His name was Ross Jackson and I’m very proud that I helped to get him off the streets, you can look it up on the Northumbria Police website. Despite being persona non grata I was asked to retain the case in the interests of justice as the victims did not wish to proceed without me due to the mutual trust we’d developed. I’m so glad I got to see it through.

BezMark · 05/08/2026 10:53

@FellOutTheLoft I've just done writing a couple of posts having a go at distant colleagues of yours and generally, related to recent matters where (tldr) the conduct of individual officers and organisations seems to have fallen well short of what we would hope to expect.

That said, I just wanted to say thanks to you, and officers like you, for all your efforts dealing with these terrible criminals and their crimes and trying to keep us safe. It can be a thankless task, so I hear, but this is some small thanks from me to you.

Bon courage.

DoneByTheFuckingRainbowUnit · 05/08/2026 10:54

Can you not claim both? While their decisions may not overtly be based on your sex, there's a clear discrepancy between how you were treated and how the blokes were, so they should get their arses kicked for that too.

lcakethereforeIam · 05/08/2026 11:36

Was there any empathy or exploration into how a female Police officer might be a little traumatised jaded by a career spent dealing with the fallout from what I'm willing to bet crimes overwhelmingly perpetrated by men? Even if some of the victims were other men.

Again, this isn’t actually “the standard warning” because I’ve seen lots of people come to MN threads about them without this snippiness. I think you’ve more than made your point, I’m sure @FellOutTheLoft knows what she’s doing. She’s planning to go to tribunal so going on TV might be useful for that.

Again I wish you the best of luck. Having gone down the grievance/ET route myself with another public sector employer, I'd suggest that sex discrimination should be added to your claim, given the outcome of your gross misconduct hearing compared to other male officers whose conduct was deplorable yet are still in employment. No harm in chucking the book at them while you're having to go through the stress of an ET.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 05/08/2026 12:59

Definitely worth looking at, I think.

anyolddinosaur · 05/08/2026 13:15

@Ereshkigalangcleg It's my standard warning - ever since one of the TRAs who always turn up on these threads to try and stop support/ funding was actually quite successful at doing that by claiming to be the individual involved. They were initially OK but gradually became offensive. OP has now discouraged people from donating to the fundraiser, no need to do that and I hope people go on expressing their support for DC Fletcher. I've donated to the fundraiser, dont know if you have but my usual response to dont donate is to add a bit more.

@FellOutTheLoft It's not unusual to claim more than one type of discrimination at a tribunal since employers do discriminate on more than one ground. It does obviously increase legal costs a bit so something to discuss with your lawyers but it sounds like men in Northumbria Police have been treated more favourably. If you can prove that you might win on both counts.

We get quite a few people who hate any mention of benefit claims. If there is a risk you will need to claim benefits using a capital sum to pay down a mortgage rather than living off it may be the best use of funds.

ickky · 05/08/2026 13:20

@FellOutTheLoft

You were treated differently to your male colleagues who had arguably done a lot worse.

IANAL but definitely add direct sex discrimination to your case.

Just wanted to say also that the police have lost a great asset. Not many could cope doing your job, you must have a strong constitution.

Best of luck with the ET, we will all be with you and watching.

A reminder that the gofundme is not yet up to 22k and there is still space to show support.
