From LGBT Health and Wellbeing Safeguarding Policy, page 3

Definition of abuse
Child abuse as defined in Scottish Office guidance refers to circumstances where a child’s basic needs are not being met in a manner that is appropriate to his/her individual needs and stage of development and the child is, or will be, at risk through avoidable acts of commission or omission.
^^
Abuse has also been defined as the wrongful application of power by someone in dominant position. Whether abuse occurs in institutions or in the home, it involves the elements of a power imbalance, exploitation and the absence of full consent. It also involves acts of omission and commission.
[my bold]

That is pretty clear.

And yet not only do we see support for male people feeding untested secretions to infants from their nipples, we also have seen the argument that any female who wishes to take testosterone throughout their pregnancy should be supported, when we know that testosterone causes health issues during pregnancy for both mother and the foetus. And that development may be impacted.

I remember that the group who campaigns for female people to continue to take testosterone even accused women of being ableist bigots when women pointed out the issues.

He doesn't answer questions. I read the report from first minister's "question" time most Thursdays by Alex Massie in the Times and the common theme is JS huffing at the discourtesy of the opposition to ask questions.

Did JS need to go to the “safe room” to deal with his anxiety over being asked questions in the Scottish Parliament? 🤨

LGBT Health and Wellbeing CEO, Chair of the Board, Vice-Chair of the Board: all male. Because of course they are.

I won't link their "Our Team" webpage, because that's been deleted in the past (different charity), but it's not difficult to find.

ps. But check it quickly, if you are interested, before they start deleting pages!

This needs repeating ^ about the dual implications of fetishisation and misogyny.

is it about feeding the dysphoria?

Yes, obviously, but it is also much more than feeding ‘dysphoria’. It’s about feeding a purely male compulsion to dominate and destroy what women do naturally with their bodies whilst also feeding a sexual fetish.

That is what some men are compelled to do. Not really a surprise.

But it is beyond grotesque and enraging, indicative of the madness in the NHS, that these men are actively supported to abuse newborn infants in plain sight. The Left is heading to oblivion when no kink can be criticised and every disturbing male impulse is to be applauded and celebrated.

Edited to add: There seems no boundary that they won't breach is there? None. With the NHS cheering on from the sidelines.

Edited

I do hope that this is picked up by the media more widely. It's such a clear expose of how children are being used by proponents of this ideology to indulge their fetish.

There is no good reason for this. The NHS has spent a lifetime promoting and supporting women to breast feed their babies. Yet in Scotland they're suddenly throwing money at proposals to enable a group of men to undermine mothers breastfeeding their babies. And pretending that male bodily secretions are equivalent, despite all the evidence that proves they're not.

Does any fucker ever ask WHY 'Lactation induction in transgender women is a clinical and research priority in the field of breastfeeding medicine', HOW it came to be that 'Lactation induction in transgender women is a clinical and research priority in the field of breastfeeding medicine' and WHO THE FUCK decided that 'Lactation induction in transgender women is a clinical and research priority in the field of breastfeeding medicine'?

Novel Lactation Induction Protocol for a Transgender Woman Wishing to Breastfeed: A Case Report

Esme D. Trahair, Sarah Kokosa, Andy Weinhold, Heather Parnell, Andrea B. Dotson, and Carly E. Kelley
27 March 2024

https://www.liebertpub.com/doi/full/10.1089/bfm.2024.0012

Background: Lactation induction in transgender women is a clinical and research priority in the field of breastfeeding medicine. To date, there are four case reports detailing successful induced lactation in transgender patients who wished to breastfeed. The Academy of Breast Feeding Medicine does not formally recommend a specific medication regimen for transgender patients due to lack of high-quality research.

Case Presentation: A 50-year-old transgender woman with a hypercoagulable disorder who was able to lactate and breastfeed with novel hormone regimen management at a gender care clinic. Her baseline hormone treatment was an estradiol 0.3 mg transdermal patch every 72 hours and micronized progesterone 200 mg daily.

Results: Within four weeks of initiating a modified hormone regimen (estradiol 0.4 mg patch every 72 hours, progesterone 300 mg daily, metoclopramide 10 mg three times daily), the patient was lactating spontaneously. On multiple occasions, she breastfed and expressed up to 30 mL of milk through pumping.

Conclusion: This report offers a new effective hormone regimen for transgender patients who wish to lactate and cannot access domperidone—the galactagogue used in previous case reports. It also provides a review of previously published case reports on this subject. Future research in this field should prioritize cohort studies of transgender patients who desire lactation to further assess patient attitudes, experiences, and outcomes.

Some more background on this:

https://x.com/millihill/status/1773343604678758886?s=20

The patient first expressed the unique desire to breastfeed her expected grandchild at an appointment with her endocrinologist in the spring of 2022. She disclosed that this was a last-minute idea that came to her very close to her daughter's due date. Her primary motivation for inducing lactation was to experience the bond from breastfeeding that she had not been able to experience with her own five children.

**

Remember, by 7 days old an infant requires 65 ml per day and for what reason would a medical professional in a country with ample supplies of donor breast milk and milk substitutes induce a new born's grandparent to lactate to assist their daughter? That desire is a red flag right there!

https://www.babycentre.co.uk/x553873/how-much-milk-does-my-baby-need-in-the-first-few-days

Sick fuckers. Since when it is acceptable for a grandfather to have the right to experience the bond of breast feeding. Why would a daughter allow her child to be abused in this way?

So, women, you thought that once pregnancy was over, you'd have a spot more bodily autonomy. No more lectures about half a glass of wine once a week, slowlt downed over the course of an entire evening, or lectures about avoiding soft cheese and not so much as looking at a cat.

But if you plan to breastfeed, be careful about garlic, onions, alcohol, over the counter painkillers, antibiotics and, well, an endless list, really. Otherwise your baby could suffer untold damage!

But if you're a TIM, just stuff down all these hormones with unknown impacts for the baby at the other end, so that you can 'lactate'. It'll all be fine!

As ever, one rule for the blokes and another for the women.

EdithStourton · Today 09:14

Re Katie Hinde's research noted earlier by @Helleofabore, when I BF my DC 25+ years ago, there was already information available on how breastmilk adjusts to the age and condition of the baby. And anyone who has BF will remember the 'feeding frenzy' episodes, when the baby wanted to feed every half a hour for a day or two to increase supply.

Breastfeeding is an incredible physiological mechanism, so obviously men have to be able to do it too...

Much more important to find out how they can rather than using the money to fund research into, oh, dunno, treatments for MND or Alzheimer's, or even just fixing the potholes.

Another male lactation paper
A recent case study.

https://link.springer.com/article/10.1186/s13006-024-00624-1

Case presentation
In this case a 37-year-old transgender woman, who was under the care of the centre of expertise on gender dysphoria in Amsterdam, and in 2020 started lactation induction because she had the wish to breastfeed her future infant. She was in a relationship with a cisgender woman and had been using gender affirming hormone therapy for 13 years.

Prior to initiating gender affirming hormone therapy she had cryopreserved her semen. Her partner conceived through Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection, using our patient’s cryopreserved sperm.

To induce lactation, we implemented a hormone-regimen to mimic pregnancy, using estradiol and progesterone, and a galactogogue; domperidone. Our patient started pumping during treatment. Dosage of progesterone and estradiol were significantly decreased approximately one month before childbirth to mimic delivery and pumping was increased. Our patient started lactating and although the production of milk was low, it was sufficient for supplementary feeding and a positive experience for our patient.

Two weeks after birth, lactation induction was discontinued due to suckling problems of the infant and low milk production.

Conclusions
This case report underlined that lactation induction protocols commonly used for cisgender women are also effective in transgender women.

However, the amount of milk produced may not be sufficient for exclusive nursing.

Nevertheless, success of induced lactation may be attributed to its importance for parent-infant bonding, rather than the possibility of exclusive chestfeeding.

a positive experience for our patient.

Says it all right there. It was "a positive experience" for the deluded, narcissistic man. I bet it was!

When did breastfeeding become an "experience" for a man, rather than food for a baby?

True. Let's hear it, boys! Explain to us why this is fantastic for the babies. With evidence, please, none of this "lived experience" crap.

(You might want to go easy on the "how it was fantastic for you" though, you're likely to get deleted or banned by MN!)

A very revealing recommendation from that report about the secretion expressing grandfather:

"Future research in this field should prioritize cohort studies of transgender patients who desire lactation to further assess patient attitudes, experiences, and outcomes"

Not a word about whether the drug induced secretions are safe or healthy for babies - all about male desires 😡

MrsOvertonsWindow · Today 09:50

This whole thing is sinister and predatory. Using babies, experimenting on babies to satisfy a male fetish.
I suppose in a world where trading in babies is now acceptable, of course they can be experimented on to aid a sexual fetish

I remember being told very clearly two decades ago that our bodies responded to the age and the stage our babies were. Also the heat. I remember reading even then that our bodies added more water to the milk when it was hot.

There is none of that available for any male person. I genuinely have been at a loss as to why countries health services have allowed male people to do this, let alone providing the services to ‘assist’ them to do it.

As a Scottish tax payer I'm not remotely happy with this. What a complete waste of money. The government should be focusing on the need for the basics ie housing, education, life defining health which does not include "experiences" for men kidding themselves on that they have real milk producing mammary glands.

If anything, money should be given to studies focusing on how real women can improve their natural milk production.

And no, I don't see any contradiction in that.

Fear of saying no? Creepy joy at saying yes? Laissez-faire attitude towards women, children, experimentation on children, women's right, children's rights? Salivating at the thought of millions in grant funding for research, to be used to prop up and enhance their own careers? Salivating at the thought of other unmentionables to be found only on their hard drives during a police search?

I am considering writing to my (Lib Dem) MSP about this. In fact, I might do the whole list. I am utterly incensed. There are a multitude of things this money could be spent on even within the LGB community - education around risky sexual behaviour, for example. Woeful Sex Ed in schools for gay and bi pupils could be improved. Not to mention all the other health areas - MiL is on her 3rd year of waiting for cataract surgery; I am on year 4 of waiting for a bone scan for osteoporosis.

Just asking the question, "Do you approve of public funds being given a charity that attempts to assist men who think they are women to feed newborn babies chemically-laden secretions from their fake breasts?" and receiving no answer, and having that on camera would be worth a lot!

Sadly the Scottish Parliament is in recess until August 30th. Gives me time to figure out which of my list MSPs is most likely to ask the question.
