Do you support “trans” or are you a monster? New Good Law Project billboard campaign.

The reliably foolish Good Law Project have commissioned a new outdoor campaign, coming to a street near you.

https://monster.goodlawproject.org/

Of course I support trans – I’m not a monster - Monster

Trans people should be able to live their lives in peace.

I did feel a little attacked.

Sharks support trans.
Okay, good to know.

singthing · 13/07/2026 19:29

Now hang on. I am reaching back into the early editions of the rule books here, but I thought billboards were literal violence and unsafe and all that bollocks. Remember all the trembling and fear caused by KJK and her one? Then Billboard Chris?

Do you mean to tell me these delicate little flowers are deliberately weaponising display hoardings in an aggressive and violent manner? So unladylike.

Got this song in my head now. Where's Mr Menno when you need him.

No kidding. I read this comment just as this started playing (my youngest has excellent taste in music)

For once I agree with reddit. Just saying 'trans' is pretty dehumanising. Even we will say trans-identifying male or female or people, not just 'trans'. They get more respect from us than from GLP🙄

No, no, see, you just don't get it. Dictionary definitions are vicious and hateful, spiteful and contemptuous things, see. Really nasty, famous for it. Whereas calling someone a monster is perfectly reasonable. They've even made the dinosaur all cuddly, look! (Though they did not get my good side. "I'm ready for my close-up, Mr de Maugham!")

Shortshriftandlethal · 13/07/2026 19:37

That is just going to confuse most people....so many mixed messages and imagery. Honestly, just ludicrous! The average person on the street will not have a clue.

SabrinaThwaite · 13/07/2026 19:39

Gotta love a shark.

Are they saying sharks and gorillas are monsters? That seems unfair on them.

My first impression was that it was the shark from Jaws.

Chersfrozenface · 13/07/2026 19:08

Well, there is a fairly well-known stance that women can have penises. He may be in that camp. "I'm a woman with a penis, so what?"

Of course. Silly old me.

Bananarama are at it again. It ain't what you shark, it's the way that you shark it.

Basically it's the toddler rule: you can't ever do something I don't like, but it's all right when I do it to you because you deserved it.

Of course. GLP are using them.

We are also still cognisant that people who ID as trans have rights like any other human beings.

Its a bollocks that feminists are 'transphobic', just for arguing for women's rights.

WrongKindOfFeminist · 13/07/2026 19:45

But they have garnered a LOT of signatures. 14000, and going up as you watch. I signed it three times. 😊

Checked the cost of that one billboard and AI saying £1500-3500 per week.

They’re splashing donors cash around.

Worth it for the lols!

WrongKindOfFeminist · 13/07/2026 19:53

I do feel for the erstwhile targets of this campaign. GLP hired some.trendy, paid an absolute fortune to make the whole movement look ridiculous, and apparently didnt even think to run it past any trans people?

Its actually quite cruel. But then, its all about JoMa's ego, after all.

lanadelgrey · 13/07/2026 19:54

Trams/trains the opportunities for a little graffiti 😂

Think they've only put up six billboards. On the website it says "all over the UK...in the lead up to Pride events from Glasgow to Brighton and from Birmingham to Cardiff". It then sets out the six sites - Glasgow, Brighton, London, Manchester, Birmingham and Cardiff - which will all get what looks like one billboard each for five days in the run up to their respective Pride events. Which doesn't feel like "all over the UK" to me, and also doesn't feel all that expensive in the context of the extent of Jolyon's grifting. Lots of show, not much dough, i think.

I imagine they are trying to get more publicity to get more donations in. Spend money to make money. Their crowdfunders are not working like they used to.

Also bear in mind JM is facing a court case so maybe they are trying to pre-empt bad publicity from that:

We all now have to dance the Monster Mash outside the next big tribunal.

I am so up for this!

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 13/07/2026 20:01

Oh my word, what a load of idiots. It almost feels cruel to laugh at them, I'm sure they doing their best Confused

Also, I think they might have royally fucked up in an interesting way.

They've used MONSTER x GLP. I think the energy drink people might have something to say about that...

Good point. I’m sure Jolyon thinks he’s playing seventh dimensional chess.

what utter crap
it makes no sense to anyone- we who have some insight into their mental gymnastics can't make it make sense, the uninitiated person on the street will be absolutely bemused for all of 1 second and then will go on with their day, perhaps musing about sharks/gorillas/dinosaurs

i hope they wasted LOTS of money on this- just a shame it won't actually be very widespread so we won't have much chance to get creative with it
