The reliably foolish Good Law Project have commissioned a new outdoor campaign, coming to a street near you.

https://monster.goodlawproject.org/

Of course I support trans – I’m not a monster - Monster

Trans people should be able to live their lives in peace.

'Yeah, I'm seeing this more often lately, even from ostensibly supportive people: "Well, I support trans," "Trans are in a really tough place right now," and I fucking hate it. We're people. Half the problem is that politicians and TERFs and the rest don't even conceive of us as actual human beings. There shouldn't ever be a single supportive article, ad campaign, nothing that goes out just using "trans" as a noun. "Trans people" or nothing. Why the fuck are organizations that claim to support us collaborating in our ongoing dehumanization? '

I understand that not that many trans reddit supporters visit MN. But I would like to say I've never used 'trans' in this way, and of course I see you as human beings.

I understand that the narrative is that 'terfs' are 'transphobic'. It would be really good if we could get to the point where we can communicate properly. I have no beef with 'trans' people. Feminists are fighting for women's rights.

We want single sex spaces, and we want gender incongruent children to be accepted as they are, given support based on evidence, and sound reasoning. That is really the beginning and end of it.

Feminists are/were generally allies to gender non-conforming people, for obvious reasons.

Neither trans people, nor feminists, nor even the Good Law Project, are monsters.

I am not a hater of someone who is trans.
Nor I am not a supporter of inappropriate promotions, school visits etc. No.
I have worked with trans people and they were on the whole very troubled, very polite, and lived a life of complete misery.
The conversations around them remind me of the days of homophobia.

Yes that is a commonly said TRA trope.

'Reminds me of the days of Section 28'.

If these troubled men just used the male facilities, and left women and girls alone there would be no problem. If the absolutely crazed activists let people speak without the bomb threats, the death threats, the turning up and banging windows, banging drums to drown women out, and stopped attacking women, harassing them, getting them sacked or getting their businesses closed down, if they stopped nailing rats to rape crisis centres, stopped attacking the offices of MPs and the EHRC, stopped attacking hotels women book to speak at, stopped the threats of violence towards anyone hosting events...then maybe people might believe it. But it is all just a 'forced teaming' tactic which we see over and over again.

Gay men and lesbians do take exception to the next generation being interfered with by the prescribing of drugs to block their puberty just because the kids like to play with the wrong toys or just to make them 'straight'. That's the link with homophobia.

Not the need for single sex spaces.

It's me and Dr Blackbird really. It never works, though. Hope Springs Eternal (which was the name of a short-lived jazz band in the 1970s)

Edited

For one, they never answer the hard/er questions. Disrupts the threads.

That’s the aim by repeating silly adolescent insults ad nauseaum (and that’s being unfair to adolescents). Plus, they love the attention they’re getting from PP’s trying to point out the black holes in their claims. Probably run back to Reddit gleefully announcing they gave one to the MN terfs.

DrBlackbird · 14/07/2026 11:52

Although, reading through the replies to our interruptaron is bringing light to my otherwise dismal morning. Tradwife lol 😜

Edited to add also love Dave ja vu and Groundhog Dave. Bring back the laugh emoji I say 😂

Could that be because the help they're getting is of no help at all.
Could it be because they're trying to be something they're not, and the help they're getting isn't centered around that.
Could be the conversation around them is highlighting the problems they've made for themselves could be dealt with if they start getting the right sort of help.
It depends on whether those that work with them actually figure out a way to truly help them.

Shame that those troubled, polite people have compounded their life of misery by allowing people who are not polite, but who are instead aggressive, violent, misogynistic and dishonest hijack their narrative.

If the polite people are prepared to stand by while other people mistell their story then they have only themselves to blame when they are met with a backlash from people who are not prepared to allow others to lie, to distort fact, ignore law, to bully with threats of violence, to hound people out of workplaces and to impose themselves physically in order to intimidate.

The page on this campaign on the GLP website appears to have disappeared. Now it just directs to their home page. Perhaps GLP have thought better of this campaign now they have some feedback from outside their bubble?

Yeah, it was me. 😂

Unfortunately it didn't seem to capture the individual pages. Are the monsters lost forever? Say it isn't so, JoMa!

Not laughing much...

This is hilarious. When will they learn that these people are NEVER happy?

I could say something about English not being his first language, and that's why he is failing so spectacularly to grasp women's viewpoints, but I expect it's mostly because he's a man.

funny, that.

WrongKindOfFeminist · 14/07/2026 12:18

All this artwork supposedly upending the power paradigms, funny how it's almost always white men who end up on the top of the shit heap.

Even if they have creative identities.

"the cis people" actually sounds quite polite compared to "the trans" used in the campaign.😂

You could say that about many things. That enough moderately minded people don’t speak up. True enough.
But they are not responsible for other peoples behaviour. Just because they don’t behave in that way themselves.
And tarring everyone with the same brush isn’t the way to go either.

What about nailing a rat to a rape crisis centre, whose brush is being tarred there?

Shedmistress · 14/07/2026 12:26

At least they are honest it's all about bringing them funds.

Given that I’ve never seen any evidence of this “moderate” group, I’m somewhat sceptical, as with everything I read online. I’d also point out that you don’t know what the men you know are posting on social media echo chambers.

Men could be more supportive of everyone in their sex class. Whatever the presentation. Adults could spend time encouraging this on male dominated chat forums.

Women can say no.

womendeserveequalhumanrights · 14/07/2026 12:29

Wow what a sharkphobic dinosaurphobic ad campaign. Implying Sharks and Dinosaurs are MONSTERS! Could lead to genocide of sharks, whereas poor dinosaurs are literally all already DEAD, and they're slandering them like this! Bigots!

Also, who's to say that shark identifies as a shark? Might identify as a fluffy kitten for all they know!

Not surprised they took it down.
