Do you support “trans” or are you a monster? New Good Law Project billboard campaign.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/07/2026 17:39

The reliably foolish Good Law Project have commissioned a new outdoor campaign, coming to a street near you.

Of course I support trans – I’m not a monster - Monster

Trans people should be able to live their lives in peace.

Yes that is a commonly said TRA trope.

'Reminds me of the days of Section 28'.

If these troubled men just used the male facilities, and left women and girls alone there would be no problem. If the absolutely crazed activists let people speak without the bomb threats, the death threats, the turning up and banging windows, banging drums to drown women out, and stopped attacking women, harassing them, getting them sacked or getting their businesses closed down, if they stopped nailing rats to rape crisis centres, stopped attacking the offices of MPs and the EHRC, stopped attacking hotels women book to speak at, stopped the threats of violence towards anyone hosting events...then maybe people might believe it. But it is all just a 'forced teaming' tactic which we see over and over again.

Gay men and lesbians do take exception to the next generation being interfered with by the prescribing of drugs to block their puberty just because the kids like to play with the wrong toys or just to make them 'straight'. That's the link with homophobia.

Not the need for single sex spaces.

You seem to have missed the point of my post. Where I said I was not supportive of extreme behaviour.
And launched into a rant.
The thing about gay people and toys etc I am afraid I cannot understand what you are trying to say.

Monty36 · 14/07/2026 12:25

You could say that about many things. That enough moderately minded people don’t speak up. True enough.
But they are not responsible for other peoples behaviour. Just because they don’t behave in that way themselves.
And tarring everyone with the same brush isn’t the way to go either.

Any trans person who claims an identity as the opposite sex and expects to be treated as such when it comes to single sex spaces, rights and language may be very lovely and sad individually but they are signing up to a sexist movement that damages women's (in the original female sense) legal and social recognition.

It is incredibly insulting to women to push us all into a "cisgender" box based on the assumption that we all feel the same way given the systemic and social constraints on women's freedom, expression and opportunities that have and still do exist.

Nice people can still believe bad and damaging things.

What about nailing a rat to a rape crisis centre, whose brush is being tarred there?

What are you going on about ?

That would be something trans rights activists did and many more supported.

Not laughing much...

So it was cispeoples fault the campaign didn’t resonate with TheTrans, because the “cispeople” responded positively to the campaign!

Ooops, that should have been a warning in itself. Cispeople and TheTrans don’t often see eye to eye on stuff GLP deem important.

But be that as it may, kudos to the “cis people” focus group whose rolling on the floor with laughter, gasping for breath and wetting their dinosaur embellished knickers was so misunderstood by GLP - who let’s face it have a long and dishonourable history of misreading the room - that they signed off on the project.

A rape crisis centre was targeted by TRAs because it was female only. The TRAs nailed dead rats to the door of the rape crisis centre

FlirtsWithRhinos · 14/07/2026 12:37

Once upon a time I was in a team with four people called Dave.

And even if three of them had changed their names to Sheila, Hayley and Dash, dyed their hair different colours and worn dresses and rainbow dungarees instead of shorts and chinos I would still have been the only female person on the team.

Feminism doesn't care what someone's gender is, it cares about female people regardless of the names or clothes everyone might be enjoying today.

Which is appalling. Providing of course that it was true.
The people I met I very much doubt would have done such a thing at all. No. They are not all in that vein.

Thecatsunderabush · 14/07/2026 12:38

I was once on a boat with 8 blokes, 7 of whom were called Dave. Not a shark in sight.

He’s kind of a one trick pony as an artist provocateur, isn’t he?

Not a rant, just a list of things these people that call themselves 'trans' do.

How can we talk about any of this with this sort of behaviour at every opportunity?

The thing about gay people just shows you have no idea what you are talking about when you parrot a well known TRA trope.

What about the pouring piss on themselves outside the EHRC offices to protest not being able to use women's toilets?

Just as much a monodimensional thinker as Good ol' Griftin' Jo, I think.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 14/07/2026 12:42

And stabbing an effigy of Andy Burnham in the eyes outside Hackney Town Hall, just days after Ann Widdecombe was brutally murdered?

I think we have this issue...

Women: we just want female only spaces where it matters
TRAs: Ra ra ra, bitch, bigot, hateful, we hate you and want you dead you bunch of cunts, die in a grease fire ugly TERF.
Women: yes, that's why.
Random person on Mumsnet 'They're just all really gentle people and the people I know would never do such a thing, Ive never seen such behaviour'

Ereshkigalangcleg · 14/07/2026 12:44

And letting off smoke bombs outside Grenfell Tower, just because a women’s meeting was next to it?

I just hate the hate.

Not laughing much...

'The campaign tested very positively with cis allies'.

Not the people who the campaign purports to be targeting, and not trans people themselves, but perhaps the GLP's target audience for raising funds?
