Do you support “trans” or are you a monster? New Good Law Project billboard campaign.

The reliably foolish Good Law Project have commissioned a new outdoor campaign, coming to a street near you.

https://monster.goodlawproject.org/

Of course I support trans – I’m not a monster - Monster

Trans people should be able to live their lives in peace.

No idea. The drawings are ugly and the text is too small to read off a phone screen, so it's a bit pointless. I suppose it is similar to the Jehovah's Witnesses pressing a pamphlet into your hand as you walk past. In their eyes, they are saving your immortal soul. In most people's eyes, they ... aren't.

The usual suspects who post cartoons?

Women's rights don't exist in opposition to the rights of the marginalised community you so hate.

So funny watching TRAs writhe around trying to make it "a thing" that women wanting to retain legal and social recognition that the female half of humanity actually exists and might have needs and challenges that are different to the male half of humanity is "hate" 😂

Next week, tune in as TRAs explain why recognising it's dark at night and light in the day means you are a light-hating bigot 👍

(That last sentence is a joke, obviously. TRAs never explain how their weird sexism makes men's feelings the same as women's bodies. They just assert it and lo! It is truth!)

AimsAndObjectives · 14/07/2026 09:07

Why is it that TRAs can only communicate in cartoon form? Is it because they never grew up?

The other one was at least funny, especially panel 5 😉

RedToothBrush · 14/07/2026 07:43

He's got to be 5th column.

Surely!?

A shark. Of all the things. A shark?

Not very relatable tbh. Maybe should have gone with a creature with sharp teeth more familiar in an urban environment like a fox?

"Communicate"?
Ummm...

Thecatsunderabush · 14/07/2026 09:38

I took my son swimming with the sharks for his birthday at the London aquarium . Does that mean I'm a monster, is he? Or are we both monsters . What did the shark think to it?

Good question.
Maybe it's a typo for "I support trains"?

Edited to add: having now rtft am heartened by the sensible people above concluding that it must have meant trains or trams. Good show.

Edited

i think they meant Grans.

I support Grans, they are on the whole lovely people and what is more, as they can be described by a noun the advert makes sense which calms my inner pedant.

Even more so because the real point of sending believers out as missionaries isn't to convert others at all, it's to reinforce the belief as utterly central to the missionary's self identity by putting them in the position of explaining and proselytising it again and again in the face of scepticism and denial. It cements the belief into their own self image. It reinforces their membership of the group and separation from "normal" society, their "us" and their "them".

It's a chilling control mechanism dressed up as outreach.

Shedmistress · 14/07/2026 09:59

A theme park T rex, a mechanical shark, and a computer-generated gorilla greet people wherever they happen to be – on the street, at a bus stop – prompting a moment of reflection. Who are the monsters here?

From the GLP Monster Campaign info.

So, they are not real beings, just fake.

And seeing a pretend monster in the wild, apparently prompts a moment of reflection? Erm, no it would prompt a flight fight reaction until you work out it isn't real.

I think their thinking is, after many hours of trying to work it out, is that if you see a man dressed for example as Little Bo Peep resplendent with frilly knickers and pubic hair poking out, and little white cotton socks, you shouldnt be scared for it isn't really Little Bo Peep of your worst nightmares come alive, but just a cardboard cut out of Little Bo Peep? Or its a fake Little Bo Peep, and you should reflect for a moment that you should not run away but sit and contemplate? A moment of reflection to reflect what? That wanting to get the fuck out of there to get away from the fake monster makes me the monster?

When in actuality, the issue is the man under the mask.

Also the 'artist' is well dodgy. Like 'taking photos of kids and redrawing them into porn' dodgy.

Sharks support trans.
Okay, good to know.

Apparently there has been a run on rainbow swimsuits in Australia.

Mygardenshedisfallingdown · 14/07/2026 10:08

Gender critical the rest can fuck right off.

AlwaysExtraHot · 14/07/2026 10:10

This is a genuine question.
Is that real, or an early April Fool?

'I support trans’ is the weirdest wording I've seen for a while. Isn't it quite dehumanising?

Yes the Transes are spectacularly unhappy about the whole thing. That and the fact that them sharing the Amnesty report creates sueable evidence of reputational harm.

Its a real 'foot in mouth' week so far and it's only Tuesday morning.

I suspect the designer used "trans" or more likely Trans* as a noun to represent a whole philosophy, belief system, world view, rather than people.

If so, that didn't really work, did it?

*Difficult to tell when the slogan is in shouty caps.

That makes so much sense. I could never understand how the pamphleters and proselytisers expected to make any conversions, because they are so outlandish and jarring in general company.

THAT is why. Because the audience is not the Other, it's the In-Group.

This can actually perhaps apply to some politics, too. And why when we find it so wild that politicians seem so out of step with the general public/voters/electorate, they may well be, but it doesn't matter, because they are performing to a different audience ...

Thanks, Rhino. Very interesting.

I do wonder how/why it got signed off though. Did someone at GLP actually go, 'Yep, that's great, not at all dehumanising, makes great grammatical sense – send it to print!'?
Or did GLP produce them themselves in someone's garden shed?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 14/07/2026 10:29

RedToothBrush · 14/07/2026 08:15

There comes a point where in terms of grifting, it's not my responsibility to protect stupid people. If you still haven't grasped that the GLP is a grift at this point, you are much removed from the old fat bloke who believes that Scarlett Johansson is chatting you up online. Even when his whole family and all his friends shout "it's a scam" to him and he willfully ignores because he WANTS to believe it.

And really the only way that this will be dealt with if legal procedures against this grift are taken.

What Red said.

Because they have separated 'trans' as The Latest Thing from the people that are actually involved.

This has been going on for a long time. Lots of people On the Right Side of History have very little clue who they are actually agitating for. See, say, 'Guides Against Trans Inclusion', who have been a bit bamboozled when Melissa Poulton and other equally unsavoury trans identifying men have flocked to their cause.
