Do you support “trans” or are you a monster? New Good Law Project billboard campaign.

The reliably foolish Good Law Project have commissioned a new outdoor campaign, coming to a street near you.

Of course I support trans – I’m not a monster - Monster

Trans people should be able to live their lives in peace.

It is both fascinating and predictable in equal measure that when shown a parable about a bigot learning to amend their ways, you miss the entire point. Dave.

A parable? Hardly.

MarieDeGournay · 13/07/2026 23:22

Big hairy creatures wearing inappropriate uber-feminine frilly flouncy frocks and carrying parasols.. Interesting choice of imagery, isn't it?😏

murasaki · 13/07/2026 23:24

Oh, did I miss the latest drive by wanking man in a frock?

What a shame.

That poster is so funny. They must have an undercover terf in there, surely they can't have meant it to be that bad?

Xanadu78 · 13/07/2026 23:27

Just looked up Martin Firrell. He is a famous public artist. Apparently he left school at 14! His lack of critical thinking shows! (And his design skills)

Graphic design done with the confidence of a mediocre male.

We expect reasoning and engagement on
mumsnet 😂

This is a board for grown ups. 😂😂

You are hilarious, kwaai ouma

If you're struggling to bring a decent reasoned argument, can you at least perhaps manage a sharp witticism as we also find these acceptable on this board.

Secretseverywhere · 13/07/2026 23:44

I do think it’s pretty funny that the three creatures aren’t monsters but have been misportrayed as villains. A bit like gender critical people who are apparently performing genocide by wanting Tim’s to respect single sex spaces and that children be protected from unnecessary medicalisation.

RareGoalsVerge · 13/07/2026 23:47

If I understand it correctly, the implication is that Jaws, King Kong and Godzilla are trans-inclusive so people who want to acknowledge the reality of biological sex are worse, ethically speaking, than such creatures.

The big point being missed is that pretty much all gender-critical people 100% agree that people who identify as Trans should be able to live their lives in peace. We just believe that it's possible to do so without destroying the rights of women to have single sex facilities and opportunities when it's a proportionate means to achieve a legitimate aim. People aren't thick and can spot a false dichotomy, it is not monstrous to uphold women's rights and require that the path to a dignified and liberated way for people who identify as Trans to be able to live their lives in peace must not be at the cost of destroying other people's rights.

If you need help campaigning for 3rd-space gender-neutral options then I'm 100% happy to help and that would be a much better use for those campaigning funds.

murasaki · 13/07/2026 23:50

It is true that Jaws would have been transinclusive, he'd eat anyone given half a chance. No discrimination there.

Dankanddrear · 14/07/2026 00:06

King Kong was all about Fay Wray, not Ray Wray, so cis and hetro. Might as well be Dave Kong.

I’d disagree with you I think Jaws would rather all people stayed out the ocean and he could eat seals in peace. Misanthropy at its finest!

🤣- is this really where they are at, “Jaws isn’t a monster, he’s trans inclusive” 😂

God alone knows what they were thinking. But it's hilarious.

Shedmistress · 14/07/2026 06:19

I'm still baffled.

My running theory is that the original strap line was 'I'm not an animal' but in the review meeting someone thought animal wasn't strong enough so they upped it to monster without realising it then made the pictures meaningless because if the pics don't represent the monster they represent Trans.

This really is bad marketing by anyone's standards. Talk about fucking it up spectacularly.

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 14/07/2026 07:22

I'm ok with being a monster, 😂

I support trans people's rights to live peaceful lives without those rights having any negative impact on the hard fought for legal (and otherwise ) rights of others, especially women.

I see myself as a wereshark.

Really though, what is 'a trans person' other than a male or female person who wishes to be viewed as the opposite sex, or even as no sex at all? None of us can control how other people perceive us, and none of us is above reality. When you remove the ability, or desire, to control other people's responses towards you or have them validate your feelings, what is left?

"Trans' people are not a unique 'third sex' or catgeory of human being altogether.

RedToothBrush · 14/07/2026 07:43

He's got to be 5th column.

Surely!?

A shark. Of all the things. A shark?

MyThreeWords · 14/07/2026 07:46

Poor sharks and gorillas. They have a tough enough time from humans without being cast as nasty terf monsters.

fromorbit · 14/07/2026 07:49

The purpose of the campaign is to advertise GLP and the fox basher. That is why is is so divisive and dramatic to trigger shares and get GLP name out there and to boost fundraising. It is to create a GLP saviour narrative not for everyone but for a small number.

It is not actually to help "trans" types. As many have said it is weak at that. It is great at its actual aim making people talk about GLP. They could be anyone pro or anti reality it doesn't matter. It wants to get media coverage.

The length of the thread so far shows it is working. If Mumsnet laugh at something for a while some dumb TA will be impressed by it. If 1000 people hear about the campaign a small number will give Joylon some MONEY.

There comes a point where in terms of grifting, it's not my responsibility to protect stupid people. If you still haven't grasped that the GLP is a grift at this point, you are much removed from the old fat bloke who believes that Scarlett Johansson is chatting you up online. Even when his whole family and all his friends shout "it's a scam" to him and he willfully ignores because he WANTS to believe it.

And really the only way that this will be dealt with if legal procedures against this grift are taken.

Well they've jumped their own shark with this one.

Seems relevant

Thanks, that is a really great example of how totally wrong TRAs are about what the other side think 😂

So funny how they claim to be all open minded when the entire trans identity is based on assuming you know how everyone else feels. 😂😂

Why is it that TRAs can only communicate in cartoon form? Is it because they never grew up?
