What is a “good experience” in a women’s toilet?

From Reddit.

List your good experiences of using single sex spaces of your gender?

Cheer up everyone’s day by listing your good experiences of using single sex spaces.
Helping fix a woman bra, giving a woman a pad, receiving compliments from women…

Can GI supporting people see why examples of a “good experience” for a trans-identifying man in a women’s toilet being - (first) to play with a woman’s underwear and (second) get involved in her menstruation - is profoundly unhelpful?

Wouldn’t a “good experience” simply be to use the facilities and leave?

How does this “cheer up everyone’s day״?

Zoo will be back when they want to derail or insult people or pretend that a handful of posts is representative of whatever wider group they imagine. I don't think much of what they say is actually true or accurate.

This happened to me in (what is now called) year six at primary school - no camera because smart phones hadn't been invented, but a boy from my class peering over the top of the cubicle! He'd climbed up on a wall outside to look in and his face suddenly appeared grinning like a creep in training (no special needs, I'm aware of him because he still lives where I grew up and friends still see him about - he has a public facing professional career now...) - old style playground toilet block at break time.

I screamed, he leered for a second then disappeared, I told my best friends and we went and yelled at him and he said he was only mucking about or something similarly predictable, but we never thought to tell a teacher nor did it cross my mind to tell my parents because it was embarrassing (early 1980s).

I was dragged into the boys toilets in junior school, it was a sort of playground sport, every now and again it would happen, it was known they'd never get away with it too often.
The loos had a door to the playground and up the other end a door out to a corridor, most girls made a desperate dash for the playground, straight back into the crowd that had got together to drag them in, which was both boys and girls.
I have no idea how targets were decided but one day it was me, useless to resist about 8 boys, but not being an idiot I put my mental blinkers on, ran through and out the door into the corridor. Of course it was playtime and I wasn't meant to be there, I encountered a teacher, who wisely said, "Were you just dragged into the boys toilets?"

There was an awful lot of amazed "She ran right through" afterwards. Of course I bloody did, what kind of fool do you take me for? I was the first and only girl who had the nous to do it, but as far as I recall it never happened again, mass bollocking ensued because the crowd were all still outside the playground door expecting me to pop out like a cork from a bottle.

Pretty unfair on the boys in the loo but I really saw nothing as I ran except the door, brains can be amazing things.

Seriously?

Have you seen what gets said to and about women all the time when they say "No" to the men who want to LARP our lives and our reality?

One troll post does not undo all that. But thank you so much for showing us very very clearly just how weighted your scales are when it comes to what it reasonable and fair.

Is anyone else reminded of Yaniv?

Yep, I mentioned him in my earlier comment. Who could forget Jessica "May I Interest You In a Tampon?" Yaniv?

“No one here cares about reality”. Oof the fucking irony

but I’m shocked that a well known troll has been allowed to continue to post on Reddit. Especially in a subreddit that we are informed is a support sub. I assume the nasty troll has been banished from Reddit and the thread deleted?

Plenty of toilets in the ladies so I don't have to queue, clean, with nappy bins emptied frequently. Working locks are good. Self contained cubicles are good, I don't really want to hear or smell what the person next to me is doing. I've very rarely found the need to talk to a stranger in the ladies, and `hardly ever talk to a friend in there, I'm not 14. I can talk to my friend at the cafe/in the pub, not in the toilet.
I don't want men in there, especially not chatty ones, but mainly because they seem to find it hard to use the toilet neatly. I don't want even a drip of pee on the floor, or on the seat. Maybe there should be separate loos for children too!

cherryicecreamisnice · 03/07/2026 19:24

The two or three times I’ve been in the loo with a TIM have been awful, they’ve stood too close, they’ve hung around too long, they’ve looked at me (presumably to get a reaction). The times when there isn’t a TIM, no one makes eye contact, no one asked for a tampon or a bra adjustment because women don’t need validation or a kink satisfied

You're nothing but disgusting, ignorant bigots, the absolute lot of you, and if any of you have a shred of decency left inside yourselves, one day you'll realise it and look back in horror and shame at what you let yourself become.

I think you might want to look in a mirror after you're finished with your tantrum, Zoo. 🌹🌺

SternJoyousBeev2 · 03/07/2026 19:26

As for good toilet experiences, clean, fully stocked and working and an absence of the infamous polycule’s HH lying on the floor.

U ok hun? Low blood sugar? Try a biscuit and a nice cup of tea.

Motnigh · 03/07/2026 19:28

No men
No queue
No smell
No piss on the toilet seat
No empty toilet roll holder

Everything else is just a bonus!

SternJoyousBeev2 · 03/07/2026 19:34

No one here cares about reality. You only care about reinforcing your own prejudices, and even if forced to confront the fact you're relying on false evidence, you still maintain that it's okay to accept it as fact as long as you want it to be true

to be perfectly honest I would love it NOT to be true that the fragrant Katie D managed to sexually assault children in a women’s loo in Scotland. Would also love it if it were true that at least two contributors to FWR hadn’t been assaulted in loos. So stick your pious bullshit where the sun don’t shine.

Wishesandhorses · 03/07/2026 19:35

I want a loo without men in it.

How those men identify in their heads, whether they're nice, or threatening staggeringly disturbed sexual violence and waving swords, whether they're with their dick out wanking in cubicles with the door open or just hoping no one notices them, does not matter.

It's irrelevant. A man's inner life has no bearing on mine at all. If he's in a single sex space it's not single sex, and I can't use it.

I'm not his mum. I don't exist to put him first and meet his needs before mine. I don't edge around the world, making sure he has everything he wants before I think about myself.

I want equality. He wants a space he can use safely? With privacy and dignity? Yes, so do I. And being a woman doesn't mean I get only the crumbs he leaves behind when he's taken what he needs.

And it is pointless to push the disingenuity of 'oh it's only a few who are sexually excited, angry, dangerous and in women's spaces to harass, intimidate and fantasise'. It's a lot. And I don't want to meet or deal with any of them. They can all have a lovely time together in the mixed sex facilities, and so can the women who personally feel it's important to nurture and provide for them.

MalteserGeezee · 03/07/2026 19:37

I love the ladies loos in big posh London hotels, with the flannels to dry your hands, lovely scented soap and hand lotion, excellent standards of cleanliness, and a little ante chamber where you can touch up makeup or sort your bits and bobs out without blocking a sink

BridgetPhillipsonIsACowardlyJobsworth · 03/07/2026 19:47

I think Zoo's reaction may be as much about the unravelling of Transtopia on Earth (or at least in Western societies) as it is about just hating us. The infighting among trans ideologists is growing, and they're disagreeing about definitions, life experiences, inner "truths" - even the nature of what it means to be "trans." They're even arguing about the Conversion Bill. Reality at work and in schools is slowly returning, although it's going to take a long time. But the grift is over. The ideology is eating itself, vis-à-vis the Soviet Union, pocket pagers, and VHS tapes.

but you won't will you because actually you love it

One of the best things about getting drunk and going clubbing are the women you meet in the toilets.

I can’t even give specific examples as I’ve done everything from fixing someone bra, to consoling someone after a break up to be invited to a strangers wedding 😂

These things happen less now that I’m older and drunk less, but I still get/give compliments in the ladies.

I went to a club that had mixed sex toilets and it was awful!
I didn’t feel unsafe but I felt uncomfortable and it was not the same vibe.

I didn’t go back to that club for that reason.

I've been in some magnificent 'Ladies Rooms' - large spaces acting as a combination lounge, dressing room and toilets. They had sofas, armchairs, well-lit mirrors, hair products, fragrances, deodorants, sanpro, etc, etc, and the loos were, of course, beautifully clean with lavish toilet paper and appropriate bins.

Everybody derides the idea of toilets as social spaces, but these were lovely escape rooms for women. Cosplaying men would really fuck that up, with or without their sleazy 'experiences'.

The powder rooms in large department stores were amazing. Fresh flowers, carpet, dressing tables and assistants!

CamilleBeauchamp · 03/07/2026 20:12

I was going to say 'the lovely loo in the wedding in 'Working Girl' - but even that had Harrison Ford in it... 😐

Toseland · 03/07/2026 20:13

But they just want to pee!

MyAmpleSheep · 03/07/2026 20:15

This is that scene in Ted Lasso, where Keeley interacts with the character Jacks (female) by being passed a tampon under the cubicle wall, and explains how she’s come on early”. I never twigged until just now that it’s only there as a male fantasy, paving the way for Keeley and Jack to have a very “out” lesbian relationship.

Script written by (male) Brett Goldstein (who also acted in the show).
