Men do have latent breast tissue, which can grow when exposed to oestrogen, TiMs who take female hormones do develop ‘breasts’ which potentially could lactate, they aren’t just “lumps of fatty tissue”. I’m not saying TiMs should try to breastfeed, but they do have breast tissue, because all men do, that’s why they should check for lumps as men can get breast cancer too.

Thats what I mean though- men do have breasts of sort. But they’re not like women’s with milk ducts
And yes exactly men can get breast cancer.

If a man gets over weight his chest will get bigger. No different to a man taking drugs to get the same effect. Just more fat in that area. They haven’t gone through women’s puberty.

Remember ladies, you're only a woman if others tell you you are.

Oh well in that case. No trans identified male is a woman. Hope this helps the confused who believe humans can change sex or that men can be women.

This is another sex realist belief. Except, with progesterone use trans women do develop milk-producing lobules.

Unlike men in your example, trans women could lose fat and glandular tissue would remain unaffected.

it's really weird that you use the term "sex realist" as if it's an insult

I use it because some posters here identify with it. I use it because I identify as somewhat gender critical and as a group "gender criticals" doesn't say much about the motivations of members.

Also, it aligns philosophically somewhat in parallel with those I've seen identify with the term 'race realist.'

What do you want to be called?

And, does FWR believe itself to represent the entire sex realist/gender critical 'group?' Posters seem to share the same beliefs, even when they are laughably inaccurate.

I've been called many things by mumsnet users since signing up to mumsnet. It doesn't matter to me, I know it will continue regardless of how I feel.

Not this wank again. You didn’t experience female puberty, you grew some breasts due to taking a ton of oestrogen.

This.

And opposite sex hormones not HRT.

OldCrone · 16/05/2026 21:02

polypostwonder · 16/05/2026 17:14

A non-zero percentage of people have progressed through and complete puberty never being able to reproduce. Are you saying they never experience puberty?

So you disagree with the scientific definition of puberty?

For example:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK534827/

Puberty is the process of physical maturation where an adolescent reaches sexual maturity and becomes capable of reproduction.

Which is pretty much word for word what I said in my earlier post.

I realise you have a fantasy that you've changed sex, but you really haven't, because that's not possible.

Not keen on straight answers to straight questions?

Not this wank again. You didn’t experience female puberty, you grew some breasts due to taking a ton of oestrogen.

FWR members wonder why I spend so much time ('wanking again,' apparently) here talking about myself. It's because sex realist beliefs are wrong or inaccurate and cause all kinds of weird assumptions to be posted about transition.

After beginning oestrogen. I went from 4’10” and 80 lbs to 5’5” and 110 lbs in two years. My bones matured, as expected with oestrogen. Yes, I also grew some breasts. I never grew a beard, my voice never dropped.

Definitions exist because they succinctly describe a commonly shared characteristic or process. Common does not mean universal.

sex realist beliefs are wrong

Well, that's us told. Reality is wrong.

I suppose reality could be considered to be 'wrong' if you're a deluded fantasist.

That is the universal definition of puberty, like it or not.

But you're welcome to live in your own little fantasy world, as long as you don't impose your fantasies on other non-consenting people.

Texas Children's Hospital were the hospital with 2 whistleblowers.

First, they were announcing that they were not doing paediatric gender treatment when they actually were.

Second was that they got around the medical insurance by registering the children as the wrong sex, and the diagnosis was that their hormones were low, so needed hormones to be at a normal level. Which is fraud.

Nice try, but I wasn't the person suggesting another person be excluded from discussion.

I am a woman, acknowledged by all but the sex realists on mumsnet who I've disclosed my adolescent transition experience to. Probably just a coincidence.

Edited

Nope - you’re not a woman as defined in law. Not in UK, not in the majority of the EU and definitely not in the rest of the world.

You’re a man and if you died without ID a coroner would know you’re a man. People who interact with you know you’re a man.

People may collude with your mental health issues but that doesn’t make you a woman.

Mental ill health doesn’t allow me to self identify into another race, age, disability status, religion.

Why anyone thought they’d erode sex based rights is beyond me. But the correction is happening.

You may have certificated ‘gender reassignment’ but saying you changed sex shows the depth of your self delusion.
