If I have missed any threads already started about this then apologies.

I am literally lost for words on the post she added to her podcast along with Charlie Craggs.

My own daughter has been lost to this cause. I am hoping I get her back. How utterly vile can a young woman be - Grace Campbell - towards women who have worked so hard to give her such privilege. I might be ugly and a freak Grace with awful hair. But I am not a mean girl.

Well op at least you now know that most millennials and younger will hate her father on principal and not take much she says seriously seeing as she’s financially benefitted her whole life from an illegal war.

A few comments from a male perspective.

There is nothing wrong with Grace Campbell's looks (though apparently her dress sense is very hit and miss).

There is nothing wrong with FWS's looks (and their dress sense seems fine).

GC's use of "aspirational" – I think she was trying to say that FWS are not people to aspire to be like. They have the wrong views.

GC's use of "ugly" – smacks of a desperate attempt to be popular with her social group. I hope she grows up and finds something useful to do that gives her some self esteem.

CC – what a very unattractive persona. He's trying to be a hard guy at the same time as pretending to be feminine. It's never going to work. He seems very mixed up. I suspect the confident front is exactly that, a front, and he's not very proud of himself.

Sausagenbacon · 18/04/2026 09:28

Why is this just come up, a year after it was created?
I think it's awful, but i was wondering.

I think it’s because her dad has recently made some idiotic comments about GC women and has previously let it be known that he gets his views on the matter from his daughter. It’ll get even more traction now that JKR has re-posted it.

IsThisTheReaLife · 18/04/2026 09:56

I dont think mocking her hair, which I would love to have, is helpful.

I would ask the question if Alistair Campbell formed his views on gender and sex, based on such lazy priviledge, what other views has he formed based on similar lazy assumption.

I stopped listening to The Rest Is Politicsc couple of years ago, and dont miss it.

Lets not give these people headspace or airtime.

finsberry · 18/04/2026 09:59

I feel really sorry for her now I know who her father is. She will have grown up with so much hate in that liberal London bubble and tbf to her she was what - 6? - when he did that? Doesn’t make excuses but explains the insecurity and needing to find a cause she belongs to

Again, how attractive any woman is judged to look in this situation is a distraction. A male perspective on whether a woman is attractive or not is not actually helpful or desirable.

The suggestion that there is an objective metric assessment to be made on a woman's attractiveness, specifically to the male gaze, is the problem.

There is plenty to be said on Grace's words and actions, and how these have apparently influenced her father.

TheKeatingFive · 18/04/2026 10:04

I can't listen to TRIP any more. The misogyny of this pair disgust me.

I'm finding left-leaning misogynists almost more repulsive than their right wing equivalents these days.

At least the right wing idiots are straightforward in their intentions. These left leaning men are incel-adjacent while claiming to be 'progessive'. Arseholes.

TheKeatingFive · 18/04/2026 10:08

As for Grace, god help us. If she were 17 I'd have a tiny bit of sympathy, but she's 32, immensely privileged and still playing the 'mean girl' card against working class nurses, whose lives she hasn't the faintest understanding of.

Clueless little dipshit.

Sorry I cancelled my X account cos Musk. Can you summarise?

Grace Campbell (comedian daughter of Alistair) and trans activist trans woman Charlie Craggs mocked and ridiculed women protesting outside the Uk supreme court who were advocating for the sex based rights of women/girls under the EA21010 relating to the forscotswomen legal case.
They ridiculed the womens appearance ...old, ugly, no fashion sense ,bad hair even ridiculed their public hair.
They ridiculed the womens safety concerns in relation to Single sex spaces by saying they were unattractive ,so safe from the risk of males like Charlie in their spaces.
The "unfuckable crone to ugly to get SA or raped" argument for allowing males access to female spaces.
Absolute misogyny at it finest and they expected to be cheered from the rafters.
They were not.
How Grace can justify to herself that women and girls that the male Charlie Craggs finds ugly and unattractive should not be allowed their legal rights to some single sex spaces beggars belief.

ArabellaScott · 18/04/2026 10:10

The interview with her mother is quite revealing. They talk about how Grace 'had to have a pony' and how that makes her sound spoilt.

DustyWindowsills · 18/04/2026 10:12

Has anybody listened to their recent TRIP Leading interview with TW US congresswoman (nope, not going to split hairs) Sarah McBride? (I haven't yet, but I think I probably ought to, because my irritation at AC and RS is not sufficient reason not to listen to it.)

I'm wondering if this is the reason the video of Grace Campbell has got new attention.

I accept your rebuke (and was expecting someone to say something similar) and largely agree. The beauty standards people try to impose are ridiculous. I'd rather, if we're judging people, follow MLK and do it on the basis of their character not how much we enjoy looking at them. I do think that comments on looks are rarely objective, and often actually reflect people's approval or disapproval.

ArabellaScott · 18/04/2026 10:15

Tbh its not a rebuke, its an attempt to point out the dynamics and the overarching and larger problems.

A sexist society is the water we swim in, its hard to see past it.

ArabellaScott · 18/04/2026 10:17

I do think that comments on looks are rarely objective, and often actually reflect people's approval or disapproval.

They are generally used as tools to control, especially women and girls.

TheKeatingFive · 18/04/2026 10:17

There's also nothing objectively wrong with how the FWS women look. They're perfectly regular middle aged women.

They are not attempting to position themselves for the male gaze however. And there in lies the problem for handmaids like Grace.

ArabellaScott · 18/04/2026 10:19

We all care to an extent about how we look and that's normal. We all judge ourselves and each other all the time. Also normal.

But comments made as these are are in this context are being used purely as weapons to try to shame and control.

Yes, AC & Rory made very recent comments that's FWS were toxic for celebrating their "win" and it's known he is influenced by his daughter.

They have been invited to have FWS on TRIP to discuss their views but seemingly they won't go there. I avoid TRIP due to AC views but recently caught a few episodes regarding the Iran war. I now feel "tarnished" for listening to them.

They don't want kindness to the Trans community as they are insistent that men are women and anyone who says otherwise are toxic.

It obvious he is brain washed by his daughter which must highlight his critical thinking abilities. Scary to think he influenced UK government policy for so many years.

Iamnotalemming · 18/04/2026 10:21

I used to listen to TRIP and quite enjoy it. Then there were a couple of 'scales falling from eyes' episodes for me, the one talking about FWS and another where they were discussing the politics of another country that I coincidentally happened to know quite a bit about having done work there for many years. In both instances it was so immediately obvious to me that they hadnt done their homework, there were gaping holes in their understanding of the subject, that I suddenly realised I may as well have been listening to a couple of guys in the pub set the world to rights after a few beers.

Grace Campbell is the daughter of Alistair Campbell and Fiona Millar.

Well they can give themselves a good pat on the back for contributing such a delightful, warm, empathetic daughter to the human race 🙄

I wonder if they regret spending thousands and thousands on her private school education where she clearly wasn’t taught critical thinking

BigBlueSocks · 18/04/2026 10:25

Craggs looks like the poor man's Robert Smith but not as pretty. Has a cheek to criticise women's appearance as he really doesn't have anything else.
The game's up matey.
These two are so immature and haven't done their research. Freedom of speech and all that though. Let 'em speak

Cailin66 · 18/04/2026 10:27

Does Grace have a job? Is that podcast a job? Does she live at home. She acts more like a schoolgirl teenager having a giggle with another teenager than a grown adult of 32. Sad that an educated woman born of two such bright people would dismiss the brave women who fought for all women to the Supreme Court in such denigrating language based on their looks. Crucially she doesn’t engage in why those women were so brave.

As for Charlie, such a misogynist, and so coarse. But I’m not expecting anything else from him.

ArabellaScott · 18/04/2026 10:32

I looked Charlie up. He seems to have made a trans identity his entire 'career'.

Anyone got a husband who will go all doolally about a bloke in a frock in the gents?
Me neither.

Nah, my husband just wants to pee too. And doesn't look at haircuts, as he's quite sensitive about his not-too-abundant hair.

Isn't that true of all of them?

Perhaps she mistook laughing at for laughing with.
