Welcome to the Bluestocking women's pub. Men are directed to the Staunch Ally just down the road. Otherwise all are welcome. Pull up a chair, give your order to the Wait Gerbil or the Gerbil behind the bar.

Don't forget to name change if you wish to.

She did try to run one on Tuesday morning.

Thankfully it rained after 5 minutes.

Oh dear Boily! Your face ....

I only ate half, so bob over, Beetle, and we'll share the other 4 slices.

<rings doorbell>

It truly was tortuous.

Never again!

I rather think the aim of the exercise was to keep them nicely calm and contained!😂

Capybaras escaped from a zoo.

I think they were trying to find the Bluestocking.

We went to the posh garden centre today and stayed for tea and cake.

We bought a new spray fixture for the hose, which was cheaper than the one we have but much better.

We also bought small owls and a red fox made from stone for the patio. And vegetable crisps. And fruit salads and blackjacks.

Far from hating it, the Walrus had a great time and wants to go again!

It's the language... just the first few words are enough to make my brain try to run away

1998, New Astronomy Reviews
Lars Bergström

Antiprotons could for some supersymmetric parameters constitute a useful signal (Jungman & Kamionkowski, 1994; Bottino et al., 1995), but probably the upcoming space experiments (Ahlen et al., 1994; Adriani et al., 1995) will be needed to disentangle a low-energy signal from the smooth cosmic-ray induced background. For kinematical reasons, antiprotons created by pair-production in cosmic ray collisions with interstellar gas and dust are born with relatively high energy, whereas antiprotons from neutralino annihilation populate also the sub-100 MeV energy band. A problem that plagues estimates of the signal strength of both positrons and antiprotons is, however, the uncertainty of the galactic propagation model and solar wind modulation.

EdithStourton · 26/03/2026 22:00

I went out this evening, and as I drove home at 9.15 I could see three sets of super-powered headlights across the fields.

Tractors, still tractoring.

When you eat your crisps in five or six months time, remember the blokes who planted the spuds. And think of Brains and Batshit who will be scouting the harvested field for any lonely spuds that were left behind, to give them a loving home. Because we don't feed them enough. Poor lying little loves.

Magpie, our local Valtra is very dark and sleek. And its tyre tracks on some of the local footpaths have recently gone from 'sucking mire' to 'lumpy bumpy ankle-twisty rock bloody hard'.

knittedsloth · 26/03/2026 22:00

Yeah well you know solar wind modulation is so last century isn't it (actually it is)

😳

Oh, so we're allowed plasma balls at the Bluey? The capybouncers wouldn't let my friends in when they came to visit me this afternoon. I had to take a stroll up to the Staunch Ally.

Is anyone else using gemini? It's changed.

haven't we always been allowed plasma balls? I could have sworn I saw Gillian using them in the aqua aerobics on Monday evening?

Your friends look well suss

No, I'm using Co Pilot which seems to have recently had an 'upgrade' that is a bit of a downgrade. It was getting really good at being consistent, now it's acting like it's had a bang to the CPU!

Annnnnnd my sleep gerbil order of Garnish playing a lute whilst wafting gently over my feet has failed to materialise.

knittedsloth · 27/03/2026 02:10

The sleep gerbils have not arrived!!

Boiledbeetle · 27/03/2026 02:30

I've just had an email. Apparently I'm on a sleep gerbil time out for throwing a cushion in an unruly manner at Garnish causing her to fall into the hot chocolate the other day.

No sleep for me until next Thursday evening then.

Boiledbeetle · 27/03/2026 02:35

Drums fingers.

I've got up, I've had a cup of tea, and a bowl of Krave and I'm still wide awake!

I'm going to go for a pee, persuade the cat to move from the middle of the bed back to her blanket, spend five minutes trying to get comfy, another fifteen waiting for the cat to get comfy, and then if I'm lucky I may actually drift off some time around 4.30.

Such fun!

It seems to be one of those long nights.
I am sure tomorrow night will be an improvement after this!

No sleep gerbils for me either. That'll teach me to complain about them.

I've got my surgery today. Hopefully it'll go well, I won't be kept in and they'll remove enough of me this time🤞. Honestly, who'd have boobs! Nothing but trouble.
