Having no oven, we've been compelled to collect pizzas from the nice Italian place a couple of miles away.

I read 'antiprotons' as 'antipodeans' and imaged a load of Aussies being given a tour, complete with sound effects ('Strewth! Fair dinkum, but anyone got a tinny?')

I said the tractoring had got less frenetic. I was wrong. On my afternoon walk with B&B, at one point I could see five tractors (3 JDs, 2 MFs), and could hear another tractor behind me. The pack of 5 were attended by a loader, a maintenance van and a couple of fuel bowsers. Spuds going in. I had a chat to one of the blokes.

Further on I had a long chat to a dog-walking buddy, who is always happy to take pheasants in season if I have a brace spare. I told him about the spud-planting, he informed me where onions would be going in, and we had a long discussion about the ethics of scrumping vs gleaning.

I don't use the air fryer, that's Mr Pasta's kitchen toy. But as I'd a big bowl of homemade pesto we could completely have made dinner.

But we're fed up (just blew a lot of money on the new oven) and my knee is being an absolute bastard. So bugger it, fancied a nice pizza and ordered it.
