I don't think this post is going to last long but what's the deal with hating trans women so much? I've been a women for 13 years of my life since 18 and it's never been a problem. Suddenly I'm not only talk of the town but also an evil man stealing everyone's rights away from them? I wasn't much of a boy as a kid anyway but. I just wanted to ask like what's the deal? Why do you hate the idea of me existing so much? What have I personally done to you that's been so bad? I feel like I need to be careful with my words because it'll be easy to accuse me of all sorts but I've done no harm to anyone. If you want to ask a trans woman some honest questions then please do, I don't usually talk about it in my day to day life and that, I'm pretty down to earth and will help you understand as much as possible. But I'd like to ask the people that hate me so much, can we ever get along? Please don't assume I'm what the internet and the media says I am though, I'm not like that at all! I just want us all to get on and I'm sick of having my life debated every 5 minutes.

I also know that if I had said to my parents,
'Ma, Da, from now on I'm a man and IF YOU LOVE ME you will refer to me as your son from now onwards'
they'd have fixed me with That Look with which they nipped teenage carry-on in the bud, and said something like
'Yerra will you get away out of that!'
But in a loving way, of course, and in a way that would have ultimately been 'kinder' and more loving than indulging me in a delusion.

The part where I feel sorry for trans people is when they realise that they've been sold a lie. Their reality appears to be dependent on how other people see them.

"Just transition and everyone will treat you as the opposite sex". Then the reality hits, women when not having to be kind will tell them they're not real women, men will not date them (or date them casually and never enter into long term) etc.

When I see younger female friendship groups with a MtF trans person, I see the treatment as no different when they have a gay male best friend.

You've just stated clearly you're going to do what the fuck you want and women will just have to put up with it.

If your mother believes she now has a daughter, that is up to her. If she is comfortable changing and sharing facilities with you, that is up to her.

However I hope she has not done anything which enables you to share single sex facilities with other women. Shame on her if so.

I used to see the acronym DARVO on here and didn't know what it was, so her it is for anybody in the same boat:

It's a form of manipulation that involves Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender.
It's a way of maintaining control and evading responsibility.
Anybody who has ever been in a relationship with a narcissist will recognise it.

It has been pointed out that a lot of trans rights activists use DARVO -

you can find lots of examples of denying reality e.g. 'transwomen are women the same as any other woman'; going on the attack - 'hate- fuelled bigots!' ;and the examples of reversing the victim and the offender are numerous - e.g. claiming to be 'the most marginalised minority' who are being denied their human rights, when in fact they mean being denied women's rights.

How applicable this is to this thread I couldn't possibly say..
