Has anyone seen Kirstie Allsopp scolding people on X for not being kind?

It all started because JKR posted about India Willoughby finally blocking her. According to KA, this makes JKR a vile bully.

Of course, KA has nothing to say about the years of abuse IW has directed at JKR. Such as that time last year when IW questioned JKR's version of events regarding her abusive first husband, because you know, there are two sides to every story, and JKR'S husband said he only slapped her that one time. And KA doesn't chastise people like India for this type of behaviour because they are part of the THE MOST MARGINALISED GROUP EVER (way more than women who have been abused by their partners). So it's absolutely fine for them to hurl misogynistic abuse on social media. Women must BE KIND, especially high profile women like JKR, and rise above this.

Kirstie's view is that if we could all be jolly well nice and polite to each other, the world would be a much better place and none of this would be an issue. And she is very proud that her views have not changed one inch over the last few years, despite all the evidence presented to her that unquestioningly going along with gender ideology causes harm to women. Because Kirstie is better than the rest of us and knows how to take the moral high ground.

Well why doesn't KA follow her own advice and be nice and kind to JKR then?

Well, this is it, isn't it? Abuse from men is invisible to some people but god forbid women are unkind enough to object to it.
I've seen some of Allsop's tweets on this. She's clearly not listening to anything, she's too caught in the horror of JKR not being deferential enough to a man who has been targeting her with nasty tweets for years.

I'm surprised by this as KA is usually pretty conservative in her views.

Allsopp was criticised in 2022 for comments she made about people not being able to purchase housing, arguing many people are not willing to make enough sacrifices like cutting out coffee, Netflix, and going to the gym. Allsopp, who received financial support from her family to purchase her first home, claimed "...there are loads of people who can [make sacrifices] and don’t." Following criticism Allsopp posted several responses on Twitter before quitting the platform.

As far as I'm aware, Kirstie doesn't think that TW should be in women's sports, prisons etc. In other circumstances, this would have her branded a raging terf by TRAs, but because she has criticised JKR, she is now a sainted ally.

I do sometimes think that JKR should just ignore the likes of IW. Mainly because arguing with morons on social media is pointless and it just gives people fodder to have a go at her. But also because IW uses her for engagement farming.

But if JKR wants to give as good as she gets on X then that is her right. And KA can fuck right off with her scolding of women, whilst giving abusive men a free pass (because they have a special identity). If she got off her high horse for a second, she might realise how utterly sexist and hypocritical she is being.

If she really is as shallow and ditsy as she portrays herself then her opinion on absolute anything does not matter . But I do like her big girls dresses including buttons.

I don't think it crossed her mind that her criticism of JK Rowling reacting to JKR's abuser puts Kirsty in support of JKR remaining quiet and just absorbing the abuse from Willoughby. It supports the abuser by framing the victim as being abusive in reacting.

Kirstie entered the fray a while back with a jolly hockey sticks “here I am with all the oh so reasonable answers” kind of approach. If I recall, she said she couldn’t care less about toilets but she agreed there was a “conversation” to be had about sports… if she’d said that in 2020 she’d have been metaphorically flayed alive by activists who believe TWAW in every single sense, no picking and choosing.

If Kirstie couldn’t care less about toilets, perhaps she would like to have come along to my recent works do where the gender neutral toilets were swimming in piss which was also trickling down the toilet pedestals. No urinals in there, just lockable toilets that were treated by men as urinals. The toilets stank to high heaven. For me it was a case of walk in and walk straight back out again in horror. Self-exclusion as I didn’t want wee all over my trousers. I can’t imagine Kirstie ever going in a place like that. No way.

As for IW, yeah personally I’d rather JK ignored him as I think he has a very unhealthy obsession. Still, it’s a free country and JK is entitled to handle things however she likes.
