Isn't this on a par with the likes of Eddie Izzard "appropriating" their dead partner by taking their name? Ie Suzy.

C'mon now, it's obvious that the poster was referring to his mother who has since died.
OK so it was clumsy sentence construction, and could be construed humorously, but he is referring to his late mother who he loved and who loved him.
