Sex Matters, a charity that campaigns for single-sex rights, will argue that the City of London Corporation is breaching equality law by allowing trans women to use Kenwood Ladies’ Pond on Hampstead Heath.

Hampstead Heath has byelaws and a Constabulary to enforce them. I'm sure that dealing with the occasional man attempting to access the women's pond won't be beyond their abilities.

It's concerning that some people think men who threaten women or kick off should not only have their demands immediately met, but that any recourse to security shouldn't be happening either.

Apart from anything else, where do they think blind compliance like that would end?

Also remember the court case failed on ground of jurisdiction, so don't abandon any hope.

I'm sure I saw something recently about plans to open the mixed pond all year round. That would be ideal, so it probably won't happen.

Sir Keir Starmer has been urged to protect inclusive spaces from gender-critical lawfare after a campaign group attempted to bring legal action to exclude trans women from Kenwood Ladies’ Pond in Hampstead Heath.

A coalition of more than 140 LGBT+ and feminist organisations has warned that “trans people in Britain are facing an existential threat, while businesses, employers and service providers are being dragged through the courts for defending their inclusive practices”.

In a letter coordinated by the Trans+ Solidarity Alliance and sent to hundreds of MPs, seen by The Independent, parliamentarians have been urged to press the prime minister and the minister for women and equalities to take action to protect trans-inclusive spaces from the risk of expensive legal action after last year’s Supreme Court judgment.

They don't get that it's biological men that are the problem due the behaviour of enough biological men to make women wary of them.

We don't have men only spaces to protect men from nefarious women.

With one exception, who clearly gets it but fears being banned, it is astonishing to me that they have absolutely no concept of what the GC position actually is. The only way to defeat an argument is to understand it. They do not.

And the reason they admitted girls was because not enough boys were joining. Girls overtook boys in 2011.

it implies being a trans person is like being a fairy or santa and you only exist if people believe in you. Women never say we are facing an existential threat no matter how many of our single sex spaces they tried to destroy. We will still be here because we are a real thing not an ideology

They think that they can then claim they’re suffering a “genocide”, because it sounds better than the more boring and less dramatic reality that they would be mandated to stay out of women’s spaces, because no one’s ever really believed they were women anyway.
