I have just received a new email from Girlguiding. They are planning on setting up a task force - 'Today, we're launching a taskforce to explore new opportunities for trans girls, trans young women and trans women. You can help us by sharing your ideas and/or expressing an interest in contributing to our taskforce. '
I'm thinking that it's really important that sex realists are included on this task force as I think that there will be pressure from the Trans handmaidens to change Girlguiding to a mixed sex organisation. Is there anyone else who has received this email and would be keen to collaborate?

Thank you for your message. My DDs do lots of extra-curricular stuff, both single sex and mixed and don’t miss out. It’s doubtless a difference in style, but I do not want to support the Guides because of the actions of its senior leadership. There has to be accountability/consequences.

I think trends can be mainstream (majority) or alternative (usually a largeish minority) or subcultural (minority/niche). Children who don't fit in enough to be mainstream-trendy may be able to access a subcultural trend - and be very eager to hang on to their acceptance by that group, whatever it takes.

Trends can also shift their nature. A subcultural trend can become mainstream (to the disgust of niche-ies who like being niche). Or a trend can be a mainstream fad for a while and then find a smaller more long-term niche.

They just can't help themselves, can they? Shows who they really are....

This will come over as very naive (forgive me, my DD is a toddler so we're not talking about LGBT stuff yet), but are there trans girls that young, commonly?
I'm in my thirties so trans issues seemed to start among people I knew when I was a young adult in FE college (I know there's a longer history but that's when I first met trans people).

I've also completed the survey.

Yes there are people transing their four year old boys and putting them on Rainbows waiting lists.

The father of a six year old boy who is currently a Rainbow spoke at one of the protests.

I wonder if all those protesting the exclusion of trans identifying males from guides would like to have him as a volunteer. 🤔

I really hope that the exclusion of these boys from girl-only spaces helps to give their parents pause for thought. It will cut down the places they can pretend that their boys are girls and hopefully allow the kids just to find their path as boys.

I know that the GG silenced and kicked out sex realists who questioned the policy to allow males into GG and to keep this information from parents, but surely there are some members of GG that want a single sex organisation. I have not seen any petition, poll or anything else to gather voices of those who support the restriction of membership to females. What would it take to insist that GG poll it's membership? How might that be called for in tomorrow's meeting?

I am not a member .. but I am horrified by the amount of coverage the protests are getting, by the stance that the leadership is taking and by the guidance issued to those who might be affected. I am also horrified by the lack of consideration to those members who joined for a single sex space and are now being coerced and silenced.

The hairs on the back of my neck stand up when I read a phrase like "the father of a 6-year-old transgirl". How is no-one getting just how creepy all of this is? Why are feminists blamed, when they are the only people speaking out against it?

There is no such thing as a trans child. There are parents who are perpetrating psychological abuse on their children. Parents who believe that if a wee boy likes playing with dolls then he must really be a girl. It's regressive sexist homophobic sh1t. Some parents are possibly confused by all the hogwash that is promoted by the Trans brigade, some who seek the kudos and attention from transing their child. But the root of it all is that the Trans brigade desperately wants there to be trans children, to 'prove' that gender identity ideology is real. When instead it is a bunch of Autogynophillic middle aged men who hate women. They don't care about the damage to young boys and girls as it serves their despicable ends.

I am increasingly thinking that what we, those volunteering with GG, need to do is actually support Girlguiding in their new policy. To make sure that it sticks. Regardless of the appalling messaging. Potentially the messaging is deliberate to try to mollify the TRAs (although good luck with that)! I'm looking forward to hearing what is said tomorrow on the call

But why can't women who are GG members speak up? I know Katie Alcock and Helen Watts were expelled when they did.. but what if every GG Leader, every GG parent and every GG member was asked..

Wow. As an ex rainbow, brownie and guide (as I am old now). I have to say this is shocking. Particularly that email in Rainbows about inside outside feelz.

I can’t say how much Girlguiding influenced my character alone as it was one part of a bigger whole in my upbringing. But it was never at a detriment to me developing as a strong independent woman, with confidence, with purpose, direction, with conviction, morals, respect and a grounding in reality and truth.

And at the core of that was that I am a girl/woman. That’s it. I don’t have a lady brain. I don’t feminised feelz. I am just a human born with a female body whose biological purpose is to attempt to produce eggs. Equal but different to men. I can do whatever I am capable of doing, and I won’t find that out unless I try. That is all.

It is straight up sexism and homophobia in the majority of cases. In the rest there's trauma and worse.

Unfortunately even well meaning people can be blind to safeguarding risks and thats why you should always challenge.

I am so disappointed to see my news and facebook feeds covered in people supporting the dismantling of female spaces.

Where are the voices protesting to protect female spaces.. I don't believe that we are wrong.
