I have just received a new email from Girlguiding. They are planning on setting up a task force - 'Today, we're launching a taskforce to explore new opportunities for trans girls, trans young women and trans women. You can help us by sharing your ideas and/or expressing an interest in contributing to our taskforce. '
I'm thinking that it's really important that sex realists are included on this task force as I think that there will be pressure from the Trans handmaidens to change Girlguiding to a mixed sex organisation. Is there anyone else who has received this email and would be keen to collaborate?

They'd also completely lose their unique offering and entire reason for existence.

If Guides becomes mixed sex then they are no different to scouts (well, maybe doing more worthy ‘woke’ activities) and the two organisations might as well merge.

Nope. Scout don't want to merge with Guides.

Too many issues that would endanger the future of scouts.

And the scouts guidance in this area is way more flexible and not brainwashing.

Guides can keep their own mess to themselves.

It's easy to start a new scout group though.

I'm not sure that Scout guidance is any different. Yes they have rules for managing mixed sex but they still work with gender identity so a trans identified boy is treated as a girl within their processes

They've lost their minds and don't understand the entire foundation of the organisation and why parents still send their kids to guides over and above guides. Out of touch wankers who don't understand safeguarding.

I would not send a daughter to a group that failed to understand safeguarding....

Senior Guide leaders who have transed their own kids or who have a trans relative.

I'd lay money on there being a trustee or senior staff member with a TW or 'transgirl' family member who is behind all this

Yes. The silencing power of someone with skin in the game is immense. Add to that the determination of the adult trans lobby groups to get into all organisations for children.

Given the Supreme Court ruling, does this not mean that the people who run guiding are encouraging their members, and their parents to promote a stance that is unlawful?

And surely, they could be sued for discriminating against gender critical members or their parents.

I'm amazed that the man/men behind this, or the parent of the trans child behind this has not been publicly named.

Tbf to GG, i don't believe they've actually said young gender confused girls should be excluded but is the logical result of this stance. Although logic does get pretzeled around GI, assuming it even gets a look in.

I wouldn't be surprised I'd they wheel out a winsome young boy, probably with professional parents in the Arts or a non-STEM subject at a University, devastated that he's now excluded from GG. It would be appalling to use a child in such a fashion. Perhaps it's a good sign that this hasn't been done yet? It hasn't been done yet, has it?

I’m glad my dds are grown up now. If their guide unit did any of this I’d have withdrawn them. I don’t get this assumption the leadership has that everyone is gutted about this ruling. In reality most people don’t care and there are a decent number who support it.

Of course they are. Because if they allow the trans identifying girls to join because they are female then they would have to acknowledge the bleeding obvious about the trans identifying boys.

A youth group that I used to be involved with allowed self-id and trans identifying kids to choose which accommodation to use on overnights. The girls who used he/him pretty much always chose to stay with their friends in the female accommodation. I never had anyone mention any trans identifying males to me so I have no examples of boys being accommodated on female accommodation.

Having read the heartrending experience shared by a TiF MNetter on another thread today, yes of course they do. The driving force for girls with gender identities is so often described by them as a desperation and fear of having to be openly female, because it's an awful, powerless, controlled and trapped thing.

It's radically different to the very frequently described highly sexual motivations, thoughts and feelings involved that are shared by TiM, with the focus being on using women and girls and their spaces for desired experiences. Which very frequently moves, at speed when even slightly provoked, to ideation of extreme sexual VAWG.

Pretending this isn't involved is yet another safeguarding disaster in itself.

I said TIFs often want to be with other females only to avoid accusations of generalisation from ploppers but I think it’s probably fair to say ‘usually’. As you said, at a population level, the reasons females identify as trans are very different from males.

I get these surveys centering men / boys with a trans identity. They always ask how can we support the trans.

I say welcome biological girls who may have a trans identity.

I am baffled by the sheer amount of energy given to focusing on males and the fucking misogyny of the whole thing. So many bloody emails about how we support men more from the GIRL guides.

It's so concerning. There are likely autogynephiles behind this. They need young girls to prop them up. Girls Guides is perfect for this.
