I have just received a new email from Girlguiding. They are planning on setting up a task force - 'Today, we're launching a taskforce to explore new opportunities for trans girls, trans young women and trans women. You can help us by sharing your ideas and/or expressing an interest in contributing to our taskforce. '
I'm thinking that it's really important that sex realists are included on this task force as I think that there will be pressure from the Trans handmaidens to change Girlguiding to a mixed sex organisation. Is there anyone else who has received this email and would be keen to collaborate?

Did you write directly to HQ or to the email address(es) managed by the PR agency handling responses to this policy?

I am so disappointed in them after reading the latest update. What they are doing is so hostile.

I'm absolutely furious about this latest update. I am keen to make contact with other volunteers so we can plan a converted approach to the Trustees. We need to fight back on this. Please message me directly if you are keen to get involved

This is the task force, from Girl Guides:

1. Ways to connect with and support boys and men. Like exploring how we might create new spaces or groups.
2. Changes to how Girlguiding works. Like exploring how we might make changes to the way Girlguiding is run (stopping this annoying focus on girls and switching it to boys), while still operating within our equality and diversity policy and not getting sued.
3. Showing support for boys and men and furries, buttplug monkey, and men with very dodgy boundaries. Like exploring how we might hold events, run activities, or campaign to benefit them.

It’s all about how we can stay true to our values of caring and inclusive

Oh pass me the sick bucket. No, it's solely about how you can focus on special boys. You don't care about the girls, 'inclusive' would mean having to think about the girls the group was created for, and about including all of them. By adding boys to this girls' group you end it as a possibility for many girls. Fuck off with pretending that is 'inclusive', you're lying. To benefit boys. WIthout the guts to own the sex based misogyny and MRA involved.

Anyone seen ANYTHING in this document about actual girls and women? Girl Guides? No. The entire of this bullshit waffle is about boys and men. It's as if the girls are just nothing more than set dressing to be exploited in the lives of special boys. They're not even important enough in a girls organisation to get a passing mention.

Create new activities

• Release Girlguiding branded activities for girls to show allyship.
• Find a way to educate young members about trans+ communities

Oh fuck that, for crying out loud, that's the end of me sending any child anywhere near you. This is an open statement of adult intent to use their access to children to groom them into their personal politics. That is appalling.

I'm past even being gobsmacked at the misogyny and open MRAism going on, and past the point of 'anyone not excited about girls and committed to girls (actual ones) in a girls' organisation should not be anywhere near girls' organisations' - that's straight forward safeguarding. Adults who are so devoid of basic values and self awareness that they would print something this awful should never be in positions of trust with children.

What a tragic end to a proud history and years of girls who grew from it. Killed in a decade by a bunch of fantastically selfish men and their handmaidens.

That statement of intent to politicise children via the group and groom them towards that political movement needs reporting and at government level, that is a massive safeguarding breach. Where does that complaint need to go? This cannot be allowed to be done to children.

Parents will not realise that the organisation has now declared one political allegiance and that their children will be actively groomed towards it and trained towards very specific views and loyalties. I do not easily reach for this, but this is the kind of values Hitler bloody Youth was built on.

A good point. If GIRLguiding wants to extend its remit, why not explore how they can help girls in need?

Many girls in their teens, or even younger, are carers for family members.
Many are not in education, employment or training — drifting (and at risk of exploitation) without responsible adult guidance.
Teenage mothers, girls caught up in drug gangs, girls coming out of foster care, girls with invisible disabilities or other special needs. So many girls in need.

Yet Girlguiding focuses on boys — who are themselves in need of sane adult guidance. One very valuable thing all adults can do for children of either sex is to help them understand the difference between reality and fantasy. But Girlguiding clearly isn’t going to help.

So as well as joining in the heartless gaslighting of male children, Girlguiding will continue whittling away girls’ human rights and self-respect.

The core message to girls is 'you by yourself are not important enough'. And 'girls stuff is only ok if you're there being the screen on which boys and men project themselves'.

Add into that 'and now we will train you to be a handmaiden devoted to promoting and enabling boys and men with some very major issues' and you're left thinking it would be a hell of lot better for GG to just end now.

Honestly, what's the fucking point? What the TRAs really want, they can't have. The only reason I can think is to make up for it, they want to make every girl who attends go down on her knees to the cause, to raise a generation of good little kind handmaidens.

I’m on the task force - not the panel who are the ones getting proper airtime but 500 people who get surveyed about the panel’s ideas. 2 questions were asked about as per the update shared below - what do you think of adding special ‘allyship’ activities, and what do you think of doing community events where everyone can come.

I spoke at length about Allyship being an adult political concept and how girls should not be subject to politicised concerns in this way. How GG should not have a stance in an highly contested political stance or try to pull children into that. Asked about the pressure girls who don’t believe in changing sex, will feel upon being asked to be an ally. About the traditional pressures on girls to put everyone else’s feelings before their own and how we should be teaching them to disagree respectfully, not prop up adult lobbies.

I said the community events are fine as long as they uphold charitable aims of benefitting girls and women, and that is the main reason to hold them.
