I have just received a new email from Girlguiding. They are planning on setting up a task force - 'Today, we're launching a taskforce to explore new opportunities for trans girls, trans young women and trans women. You can help us by sharing your ideas and/or expressing an interest in contributing to our taskforce. '
I'm thinking that it's really important that sex realists are included on this task force as I think that there will be pressure from the Trans handmaidens to change Girlguiding to a mixed sex organisation. Is there anyone else who has received this email and would be keen to collaborate?

I did this with my 11 year old but as she took ages to hang up her school clothes etc after walking in the door it had timed out. I should try starting it again.

@Beamur yes I have just been reading tonight's email for volunteers. Bloody appalling. Everything they are saying is undermining the new policy. I'm raging!

Gender identity - I’ve never heard of most of those terms.
I’m older this feels like madness.

Genderflux is a new one to me.

And obviously constructed by someone who is really desperate to push this specific issue.

I just cannot believe that anyone sane wrote that. Or anyone who has anything to do with mainstream guiding.

That's for when you need to solder 2 genders together.

If it takes five minutes to fill in the survey, presumably 4.5 of them are spent trying to make sense of that set of multiple choice answers.

It actual beggars belief that list….its bonkers for want of a better description.
Who at the top of GG is pushing this that’s the question….they must have their own children that they want included at all costs?!? This is far from normal it’s shocking.

I've just realised something that I'm sure other women already understood:

The sole reason that gender indoctrination for kids usually offers so many different varieties of trans identity to choose from is precisely so that more children do choose one.

When faced with a shiny list of new IDs, how tempting to say "that's me". Especially when perfectly ordinary personality traits are included as examples of knowing you have one of these identities.

Those same lists make most grownup's eyes roll, even many so called trans allies. Note there has NEVER been a push for seperate facilities for all the different gender identities. In the world of grown up policy making, its men & women (with women obviously including any man who wants). Bar the very very occasional push for a non binary category.

I find this really chilling.

They have a cute shark mascot with the pronouns They/Them/It.
Honestly, telling kids as young as 4 that It is a good thing to go by.

I feel like I’ve woken up in some sort of dystopian nightmare most days.

It is almost like no one responded and told them they would like the single sex provisions to remain in place after all and we are indeed in an echo chamber....

It also looks like it’s still contrary to the GG’s charitable purpose, which (I think) is to benefit females, not males.

My ideas to them were to follow the law and stay true to their charitable aims. I don't want to leave guiding because spaces for girls are so important but I'm being pushed to my limit with this latest message. How can they take such large decisions with such a small biased set of people? I'm crossing my fingers nothing will actually come of it. I've written letters to HQ but no response....
