I have just received a new email from Girlguiding. They are planning on setting up a task force - 'Today, we're launching a taskforce to explore new opportunities for trans girls, trans young women and trans women. You can help us by sharing your ideas and/or expressing an interest in contributing to our taskforce. '
I'm thinking that it's really important that sex realists are included on this task force as I think that there will be pressure from the Trans handmaidens to change Girlguiding to a mixed sex organisation. Is there anyone else who has received this email and would be keen to collaborate?

The trouble with this sort of survey is that it is shared by supporters of trans identifying males being in Guiding which may give biased results.

As it is fully intended to. The TRA movement is a fierce opponent of honesty, democracy and actual reality in these things; they're brigaded to produce the desired answer and ensure things work only in TRA interests. At this point doing an open survey is pointless, it would be quicker to ask David Walliams to just make some shit up.

Omg. This survey is so vulnerable to gaming and pure outright lies it's untrue.

All it does is leave GG out to being deliberately screwed over and there's no way it can have an level of integrity.

As a mother of 2 teenage girls I was not suitable to complete the GIRL GUIDES survey.

Not sure why?

They did thank me for my time in answering eleventy billion questions before I was rejected though.

Because they want to rig the results to what they want to hear rather than target who they should be getting feedback from.

I filled in for an 8 year old but wasn't offered an opportunity to fill in for a 14 year old. Are they focused on pre-teens?

Our survey says 100% (of those we allowed to fill in the form after pre-vetting them) support us in our entirety. We have no evidence of disagreement.

This is full on Orwellian.

They've got a taskforce starting that publicly is a wide range of views from everyone, but actually no one GC is welcome, just those who don't know what a girl is, and males pretending to be women are on it.
Oh, the taskforce is to try and push boys and men in.

Is there any Girlguiding finds being spent by the task force?
If so and if there is evidence then surely this is misuse of funds.

I have made up a fictionalised persona and completed the survey as the mother of a 12-year old. In answer to the question 'What does Girl Guiding make you think of?' I wrote 'Trans rights activism'. Before that, I posed as a retired person and a 25-year old male student and got checked out.

This survey is dreadful. No way have its designers thought about ethics. The least they could do is say what the survey is for. As an ex Brownie, Guide, and Brownie mum, I'm appalled.

I don't think so from what I can tell, but it's certainly coming from the top down.

It must be funded from somewhere. If not Guides funds, then where?

If you leave our the male teams rights stuff the questions could be useful in terms of recruiting new volunteers and targeting advertising.
With the details of who wasn't needed then those would be people who would be volunteering at a unit level

I filled it in under the persona of my 23 yo although I was a little less kind.

Are they being ageist?

I just filled out the survey as a 35 year old with a 13 year old daughter. I was told that I didn't meet the qualifications for the survey so was never able to get to the trans questions.

They didn't explain why I didn't qualify.

I can only assume it was because 'my daughter' wasn't available to answer questions or because I didn't give my postcode.
I'm going to have another go!

I completed it, 41yr old with 2 girls aged 5yrs and 7yrs and boy aged 10yrs. I put in my postcode but was informed I did not qualify for the survey. I’m not sure why not.

I completed the survey as a 65 year old with grown up children, and I successfully got to the end of the survey but don't know what questions I didn't get asked. Also I only knew about this survey from the link above, despite being a volunteer. I haven't checked my emails but I will be mightily pissed off if I haven't been sent this survey by Girlguiding. I am pleased to say that I know of one GC person who has been accepted on the task force. I'm hoping to keep tabs on what happens therein. I'm going to be devastated if Girlguiding destroys their organisation as I believe (without the trans crap) that it provides a really important environment for girls to be themselves. Which is bloody ironic!

@User478 where did you get the link for this survey? Is it something organised by Girlguiding? I have had no email about it and I am a volunteer.

Where did the original survey come from? Maybe (well I really hope) we are getting our knickers in a twist and it is just one of their routine engagement surveys and they've put the trans bit in as they want to see if people are really as upset as HQ want them all to be.

I didn't see any questions about broadening the definition of women. It was interminable though. I did put that I thought GG should return to being a single sex organisation and got an essay question. I had to write three examples as to how this would increase the appeal of GG.

Ha, I have just responded to the survey a second time. I wonder if some people have been rejected due to them trying to get a demographic spread. Maybe not many 65 year old retired people from Scotland have taken part!!

I'm a 69 year old woman in Scotland and I took part.

They let me complete the survey after I said my 12 year oled daughter was available to answer questions. However even though the survey seemed never ending the word 'trans' was never shown only 'diversity and inclusion' so I wonder if different people get different questions?
