Welcome to The Bluestocking, the perfectly overblown, gloriously chaotic all-women’s pub where you can have a bit of a lie down if you need it.

Expect serious debates on musicals, cake and knitting, and whimsical musings on women’s rights and why the world’s on fire (again), all under the calm supervision of our support staff: gerbils, capybaras, and the occasional quokka on secondment.

The alcohol won’t get you drunk, the pastries won’t make you fat, but the conversation will digress, and that’s the point.

Remember to namechange before posting if you’re sometimes someone else.

High drama in court in the Sara Morrison tribunal.

NC and CE absent as they write up an application for a recusal. (Of who? We don't know).

The judge is very very angry.

What happened? I won't have time to read the tribunal thread until tonight.

NC apparently discovered something important at 10am this morning. Didn't turn up for court and left Sara's solicitor to deal with an angry judge.

We are waiting to find out what the gerbil is going on!

Geeez. Thanks Boiled.

I am developing a Twitter refresh RSI this week.

Hope you don’t mind me joining, I didn’t realise this case was being followed on this thread. I have full faith in NC, if she didn’t turn up to court this am it must be a cracker of a revelation.

biteybpob · 14/11/2025 13:28

Court sitting
Naomi Cunningham (NC): Application to recuse ENTIRE PANEL on basis of apparent bias and one panel member on the basis of actual bias. Fair minded and informed observer would conclude there is a real possibility the panel is bias.

It's mind blowing! Just when you thought tribunals couldn't get any more insane!

biteybpob · 14/11/2025 13:32

Looks like Naomi has receipts and is explaining now.

I love and adore Naomi, thank god for that woman.

biteybpob · 14/11/2025 13:33

NC Panel member Professor Boyd is one accused of actual bias.
Deborah Boyd is a former director of the Enterprising Women's Network - which is a part of the Women's Regional Consortium. The email address of the WRC is [email protected] - and wrda as I am sure you will recall...

. was copied into the 3 July email which reignited the social media storm and was one of th groups mentioned by C in the LWS event.
J and Enterprising Women network is part of that
NC yes

I've just had the gerbils give me a stuff drink that I drank on NC s behalf!

NC going for the recusal of everyone on the panel is just mindblowing.

Gerbil brandy please. Leave the bottle!

Smelling salts too, Boily?

I have things I should be doing, but it's all grimly mesmerising.

(And I'll give you two whole Battenburgs from my stash if you'll share the brandy.)

EdithStourton · 14/11/2025 13:59

These should help.

EdithStourton · 14/11/2025 13:59

Deal.

I have been going for afternoon naps and catching up later on Sara's case.

That won't be happening today!

How about Harriet for Huskyrat? Carries the HR of Human Resources without the offensiveness, and also echoes the h and r in huskyrat. Harriet the Huskyrat has a nicely alliterative flow too.

Hedgehogsrightsarehumanrights · 14/11/2025 14:30

Trying to pack up for my wet holiday on the boat to no avail as keep having to log in to the tribunal. No time to stop and will be away, from tomorrow until Friday

lcakethereforeIam · 14/11/2025 14:51

I like Harriet. It also sounds a bit like hairy rat 🐀 which seems appropriate.

DeanElderberry · 14/11/2025 14:57

Why do you all hate anagrams?

Why do you all hate anagrams?

I did try out rKathySu on her but she just looked at me blankly and went back to purring, for want of a better description, as Germoleen scratched behind her ears.

Hedgehogsrightsarehumanrights · 14/11/2025 15:10

I dont mind an anagram as long as it is house trained and only eats scraps.

lcakethereforeIam · 14/11/2025 15:16

Apologies @DeanElderberry I didn't realise it was an anagram. I read it as Southern US.

Boiledbeetle · 14/11/2025 15:20

Oh my good god.

SD no, but if the claimant wants to put lipstick on this pig of an application
