Thread 3, 28-Oct to 29-Oct, AT (day 5&6), TA (day 6&7)
Thread 4, 29-Oct to 31-Oct, TA, AM (day 7) JB (day 8)

Five nurses working at Darlington Memorial Hospital have filed a legal case suing their employer, an NHS trust, for sexual harassment and sex discrimination. The nurses object to sharing the women’s changing facilities with a male colleague, Rose, who identifies as female. The hearing started on October 20th, with evidence starting on October 22nd and is scheduled to last 3 weeks. To view the hearing online requests for access had to be made by October 17th. The hearing is being live tweeted by Tribunal Tweets who have background to this case on their substack. An alternative to X is to use Nitter: nitter.net/tribunaltweets or nitter.poast.org/tribunaltweets

The Judge made clear at the start of the public hearing on Day 1 that only TT or press have permission to tweet. If online observers see/hear something in the court that isn’t reported by TT, we don’t mention it until the next time there’s a break. This is a very cautious approach to avoid any accusations of “live reporting” on MN. Commentary on the content of TT tweets is fine as soon as they’re posted on X.

I'm concerned that you are concerning yourself more over one concern that a rumble of concerns.

Can you arrange a meeting with random people, who will all no doubt also be concerned, to discuss my concerns about your concerns regarding the original posters concerns?

Well are we talking one rumble or many rumbles? How many rumbles does it take to overtake one official Concern?

TT

NF Do u recall a meeting w theatre staff being asked if they had a problem?
TW Theatre staff? I dont recall this
NF In yr statement u mention posters in F CR re inclusive changing space, and from NMC. After the DSU complaints
TW Yes

NF On p901, is a Qs grid sent to u as part of resoln procedure Ix. You were asked Qs including about posters
TW Yes
NF Under the response re who put them up and actions taken
TW I beleive put up by nurse staff who were upset by the grumblings. I cld guess who
NF Was it investigated as pot misconduct

chilling19 · 31/10/2025 15:03

This witness is deliberately being obtuse.

HER [theatre] staff had no problems apparently- how would she know? With an attitude like hers (all those horrible meanies) would any of her staff said anything? I think not.

I love a strong woman who takes no shit but I think she's put NF into the category of a posho jumped-up junior doctor who needs telling how it is on her ward.

Beautifully articulated.

IDareSay · 31/10/2025 15:05

TT

TW They were taken down straight away
NF This chain incl DSU and theatres. Issue continued thru 2024, did u or any other managers offer Rose an indiv changing space
TW We asked her if she wanted to ?
NF Not a sep space out of zone of contact
TW No. As were using CR at different time

I think TT got a bit wrong here. It was “night staff” not “nurse staff”.

SternJoyousBeev2 · 31/10/2025 15:06

Yes that's what I thought.

ChimpanzeeThatMonkeyNews · 31/10/2025 15:07

Too many managers.

IDareSay · 31/10/2025 15:08

TT

TW Yes I was involved in Rose using a diff space later. A room w/out a shower or toilet that we scrabbled tog for Rose.
NF whose decision was this
TW I dont know. I told Rise she cld no longer use the CR for the time being. I beleive came from the ADO but not sure.

ickky · 31/10/2025 15:08

Yet another manager with a nebulous job title!

IDareSay · 31/10/2025 15:08

TT

TW Our assoc Dir of Operations - Owen Carrell I've only met once. In nursing. We have a service manager for nursing Michele Todd, a general manager and then operational managers.
NF U mention operational manager, a term used by JB earlier

Signalbox · 31/10/2025 15:09

So she was told by someone to tell Rose that he could no longer use the Ladies CR but can’t remember who. This just doesn’t ring true.

ickky · 31/10/2025 15:09

Oh is the manager that wouldn't upset rose and ask him not to be in the theatre while a nurse had an operation?

IDareSay · 31/10/2025 15:10

NF If an estates Q that falls w/in operational?
I would think so, I'm very focussed on theatres
NF So communicating a decision that'd been made
Yes
NF In Summer 2024, KD was due to have surgery and came to you. I beleive this wasnt being brought into this
NF It was intimate surgery

ChimpanzeeThatMonkeyNews · 31/10/2025 15:10

Amazing what she does and doesn’t remember, isn’t it?

Mazzer1234 · 31/10/2025 15:10

ickky · 31/10/2025 15:09

Figures.

ILikeDungs · 31/10/2025 15:11

Ooooooh, she thought this would not be discussed, defensive-like

chilling19 · 31/10/2025 15:11

Oh so this was the [insert expletive] who would not keep RH out of one of the claimant’s intimate operation?

IDareSay · 31/10/2025 15:12

TT

SC This was withdrawn as a issue
J Why are you discussing this then?
NF I will use in my submissions
J Are u going to come into this re JB? [discussing pages to read which people are reading ]

CriticalCondition · 31/10/2025 15:12

Lots of tip-toeing about here.

nauticant · 31/10/2025 15:13

It's about a withdrawn issue so that is, unfortunately, reasonable.

lcakethereforeIam · 31/10/2025 15:14

Oh, I've just thought. Did the Talent Manager deal with the theatre staff? Perhaps there was a terrible misunderstanding!

We need something like the Richter scale for measuring the relative severity of concerns/rumbles/upsets.

ickky · 31/10/2025 15:14

It should be brought up because it shows the attitude and prejudice.

Any 2 employees having a disagreement should not be in an operating theatre with one of them unconscious. It would protect both parties.

IDareSay · 31/10/2025 15:15

TT

J It's a matter of credibility so let's hear. But you cant explore further. Put the Q then move on.
NF This was gynae surgery, intimate surgery.
[J intervenes] Go to the witness bundle, p39. Please read paras 35-46 [long pause whilst reading]
