She’s looking very composed given the amount she’s had to drink. Well done, Maud; you carry yourself well.

She's had a very long eventful day so I'm surprised she isn't snoring in a corner

Oh, she is!

I voted for the 80s weddingBlush

It's such a lovely shade of blue.

I voted too!
Anyone else still have an inner voice that thinks electric blue mascara is a good thing?

Not just an inner voice. Some loud out loud voices too. I still absolutely love it. And regularly get compliments on it.

As an Avon rep in the 80s I'm scared for life at suburban housewives make up choices

Maud has been for a quick change

That is seriously stylish.

MarieDeGournay · 16/09/2025 22:18

Now that Maud's nodded off, is there a bottle or two left for me?
I need to drown my sorrows - Marseille were absolutely robbed, a penalty given against them that was never ever ever a penalty😡
The final of the Sewing Bee was v good. Some very imaginative work. No spoilersSmile

Well missed a lot skipped a lot on here a new fresh hell at centre parks. Was babysitting hoglettes on and off all day as adult hogs went and enjoyed some adult fun Spa, squash, drink with mates.

Happy to oblige but has anyone seen videos of rounding up baby pandas, well it was like that.

Anyway all in bed, i anm outside watching the wildlife.

Loads of roebucks have wandered by, nipped in.

Squirrels a plenty, pea hen and peacock wandered by, and just watched a few juvenile hedgehogs

A delight.

cannot keep my eyes open so off to bed..

JanesLittleGirl · 16/09/2025 22:22

Whoa! Just stepped out for a quick ciggie and everything changed.

MarieDeGournay · 16/09/2025 22:30

I like the sound of where you live, BannedSmile G'night, sleep well.

It's a bit like that all right, Jane - I missed most of the 'Maud's Modes' saga, I looked at all the suggested outfits on S&B but couldn't bring myself to choose one - too great a responsibility when I was distracted by Sewing Bee and footie - Maud deserved betterGrin

I recently found myself in Portugal. This may be perfect for drowning your sorrows. Light but very alcoholic, the citrus notes disguise the strength and the absence of tannins and sulphites means that you don't have a hangover.

Maud is awake and up for round two.

However me and Clara are making sure she stays put.

Sounds lovely, thank you Jane, I shall ask Grappa the Sommelier-Gerbil to make sure it is always in stock for us - and Maud, who looks like she has had enough tannins and sulphites to last her a lifetime😕

MyrtleLion · 17/09/2025 10:51

Dr Bessie has brought the Binge Advil - extra strong ibuprofen - and recommends plenty of water, rehydration salts, and rest, plus something light on the stomach later, like toast and fruit, once Maud feels up to it.

She's really patient and kind rather than telling her to buck up.

Maud is recovering, she's taken her medicine, eaten her breakfast and had a shower and is now scrolling mumsnet.

We are going to struggle getting her off Style and Beauty aren't we!

As I've not been in much for a few days can anyone tell me how Balrog is getting on? She seems busy and much happier. The only problem she said she'd had was taking a walk during her break. It took her past the Staunch Ally, one of the gerbils there, Gandalf, wouldn't let her pass.

She's doing alright, I think Gandalf will be off work for a few days whilst he tends to his crushed ego as by all accounts she gave him a right dressing down.

She says she's really bonded with Galadriel, she's one of the gardening gerbils. They work together in the greenhouses.

She’s sorted out the issue of how to heat it nicely, I didn’t mind warming it but I’m not always here.

Magpiecomplex · 17/09/2025 18:43

Bar gerbil, please may I have a couple of gallons of hot chocolate and something warm and cheesy to eat? It's been one of those days. Although I did manage to avoid being attacked by any huge flying stinging things today.

I'm sure a gerbil will get to eventually.

But Maud wishes to show you her dresses.

Don't go anywhere.
