I arrived back in London to discover the UK is still a police state run by trans activists

Such a shame that Nick Wallis won't be there tomorrow.

Sad times.

I see the BBC are busy chewing at the proverbial wrong end of the stick reporting today's proceedings:

FFS. That headline is outrageous given the evidence we have just heard.

"A disgraced transgender police officer is believed to have reported gender-critic Father Ted creator Graham Linehan to the police over his social media posts.
Former Pc Lynsay Watson, who was born Alex Horwood, was sacked by Leicestershire Police for gross misconduct in 2023 after allegedly harassing a free speech campaigner and critic of gender ideology.
An anonymous social media account, believed to be linked to Watson, boasted in April this year of reporting Linehan, the Father Ted writer and gender sceptic, to the police over several social media posts he made about transgender issues. The account encouraged other transgender activists to do the same.
Watson has a well-documented history of calling on police forces to pursue criminal investigations of campaigners who are sceptical of the belief that self-identification, and not biological sex, determines what a man or woman is."

Not sure - will need to hunt around.

Don't worry, it's fine, I've lurked through a lot and have read enough here to see how misunderstandings happen, and how they are resolved. I usually type posts and delete them before posting but Tarquin is something else! At the same time as being something really quite mundane.

Tarquin truly is something else.

That video makes me skin crawl... I really hope his parents step in because he's already got signs of being very dangerous to women.

SabrinaThwaite · 04/09/2025 16:49

I think both The Graun and the BBC must have left the court at lunchtime and didn't bother returning for the afternoon.

CreationNat1on · 04/09/2025 16:51

They are selling newspapers and clicks, there needs to be a twist for tomorrow s rags. Hyperbole, tooting and frowning.

I was going to say didn't they listen to anything from Sarah Vine and Tarquin's replies to her?

It just occurred to me that the word 'replies' has 'lies' in it. In Tarquin's case they very much did.

AMansAManForAllThat · 04/09/2025 16:53

Argh, I missed this. Came to see if there was news on today’s court case and we’ve moved on to thread 2!

Just mulling over his age. Personally I wouldn't let my child hang around with someone who has a sex dungeon. Maybe it's just me ..

Not just the headline - the whole piece is one sided as hell. If the ‘reporter’ was actually in court today then they weren’t listening too hard.

Mmmm ... although I think other friends may be even less appropriate.

Cailleach1 · 04/09/2025 16:59

Gosh, the BBC and the Guardian really do appear as if they are trying to minimise the threat these men seem to pose. It would be very difficult to believe anything that Brooks fellow had to say, considering that easily proved lies didn’t make him careful enough to tell the truth.

Scenario given by BBC and Guardian in my head: ‘Ah, he was only joking when he said that women would pay’. As opposed to ‘what, some woman had the temerity to say no to a man’. That is the way I view them now.

Headline should be: ‘Brooks fellow said that he wished woman had acid thrown in her face instead of soup’.

His 3 best mates are Freda Wallace, Alan Baker and Lindsay Watson.

Top parenting going on there!

If you acknowledge a problem you have to take action to remedy the problem.

The BBC and the Guardian have a militant activist problem.

I'm so grateful that live tweeting is allowed and we don't have to rely on the likes of the Biased Broadcasting Corporation to follow what's going on. Obviously that's no good for people not on twitter, unfortunately, but I'm glad it's an option.

Isn't that a photo upthread of him clinking drinks with Stephanie Hayden of "pig in a wig" fame? Looks like he is besties with all the top malicious TRAs

See my above point wondering whether his parents mindlessly affirmed and whether they were thinking that had worked out ok or not with their son in court admitting to behaviour which is incredibly like (checks notes) stalking, harassment, intimidation and threats of violence to silence people who disagree with him and to undermine democratic and justice processes. Whilst hanging out with (much older) men who are now openly calling themselves domestic terrorists and mafia.

All because they are saying something they don't like. That's it. Just saying no we disagree, we want privacy and dignity and safety from people who are behaving in a way that's unacceptable and at times unlawful. In line with our legal rights.

Yes there absolutely is some huge parenting questions here unfortunately.
