Gosh, the BBC and the Guardian really do appear as if they are trying to minimise the threat these men seem to pose. It would be very difficult to believe anything that Brooks fellow had to say, considering that easily proved lies didn’t make him careful enough to tell the truth.
Scenario given by BBC and Guardian in my head: ‘Ah, he was only joking when he said that women would pay’. As opposed to ‘what, some woman had the temerity to say no to a man’. That is the way I view them now.
Headline should be: ‘Brooks fellow said that he wished woman had acid thrown in her face instead of soup’.
