I'm listening to see if Vine brings on his old mate Jane 'violent porn advocate' Fae. Toby Young in the blue corner so far...

ScrollingLeaves · 03/09/2025 12:11

Jeremy Vine just said it was “race” territory.

It's not a clever pun if you get the meaning of the word its based on wrong.

It’s all very well for these politicians to make all the right platitudes. It would be better if the Home Secretary instructed police to drop any potential charges, cease any investigation, and revoke any bail conditions and publicly state as such and that vexatious complaints won’t be tolerated.

For all the noise so far, Glinner is still under a cloud.

But they are trying to be nice to transpeople (which is fair enough) without saying the elephant in the room.

The elephant in the room at this point is there is a small but significant minority of transpeople who are transcels and/or militant extremists who need to be reigned in

We only ever got to this point because of this truth.

We can't say this because it's 'transphobic' to say negative things about transpeople.

This is where we've gone wrong from the start: We've made it all about identity rather than about behaviour.

Separate behaviour from identity and the problem of 'toxic behaviour' disappears. It just becomes about is it reasonable or not reasonable and you restore the concept of mutual respect.

It is not reasonable for males to be in female single sex facilities and women have a reasonable belief to be fearful if they encounter a male in those facilities. Males claiming to be females is not reasonable behaviour because biology. Transwomen wanting respect and dignity too is reasonable but if you are shouting that you are biologically female at the same time makes it unreasonable.

This is not difficult.

A politician needs to get their head of their arse and just fucking say this.

WinterTrees · 03/09/2025 12:17

Clearly none of the R2 commentators are aware of the relentless deluge of violent tweets from TRAs to women, although they're keen to point out that VAWG is a police priority

Appalonia · 03/09/2025 12:17

Even the Police Commissioner of the Met is pissed off about this!

Shakri trotting out the old trans are the most vulnerable. trope, again.

I don't know what's funnier, the fact that you don't know what you're talking about, the fact that you completely missed the joke, or the fact that you're lecturing us on matters literary while missing an apostrophe.

Wingnut blowtorch Fawlty Towers?

Appalonia · 03/09/2025 12:18

If Shakri believes there should be a crime of inciting violence, then a lot of TRAs would be prosecuted!

RedToothBrush · 03/09/2025 12:18

ScrollingLeaves · 03/09/2025 12:11

Jeremy Vine just said it was “race” territory.

And my theorical 'news report' looks even more on the money doesn't it?

You can't even parody this shite.

ErrolTheDragon · 03/09/2025 12:19

There's absolutely no consistency. If telling women to kick a man in the balls if he won't leave a female space is inciting violence, there's a metric fuckton of social media posts and signs at protests about killing GC women that should have resulted in a lot of BDSM dog collars getting felt.

Yes.
and the difference between this and Connolly is massive, they’re not remotely comparable. Suggesting arson during an active period of civil unrest could have resulted in injuries and death to innocent people including first responders.

Whereas these tweets - does anyone with a shred of intelligence honestly think it makes one single woman more likely to physically engage with a male who has not only entered a women’s space illegally, but has stayed there after she’s made a fuss? I know I bloody wouldn’t dare. If a man had been offering a serious method of self defence to a woman he’d have come up with something more effective than a punch in the balls, as women recounting advice from fathers, police etc show.

WinterTrees · 03/09/2025 12:19

Incitement of violence needs to be criminalised, says Shami Chakrabarti.

Excellent! Let's have it.

Appalonia · 03/09/2025 12:09

Haha Vine just read out the ' kick them in the balls' tweet!😂

It's punch them in the balls, the reason being men are so much taller than women, as Linehan explained it.

NeverOneBiscuit · 03/09/2025 12:20

Haven’t read the last 2 pages so apologies if this has already been posted, that Glinner has uploaded a recording he made of his arrest onto his sub stack.

It made me feel quite tearful listening to it. Knowing that the police are being yanked like puppets by TRAs & their deluded allies.

Glinner’s disbelief is the incredulity we’ve all felt for years now, multiplied by 100. Just when you can’t quite believe that another captured organisation is going to take that step …… they take it.

Jordan Peterson was correct as far back as 2016, in that this authoritarian gender ideology is akin to totalitarianism.

WinterTrees · 03/09/2025 12:20

Anyone want to phone in and direct Vine and his listeners to terfisaslur.com?

ScrollingLeaves · 03/09/2025 12:22

Baroness Chakrabarti:

‘Transpeople are a very vulnerable minority who are being threatened’

’Brianna Ghey’

‘Inciting violence should be tightened up in the statute book.’

J V ‘Trans are vulnerable?’

B Chakrabarti ‘They really are.’

You dont understand the true meaning of the word 'ilk'. It's not what people think it is. And my punctuation is pretty good If it is wrong in places, it's not because I dont know what doing; it's because I can't be arsed to correct what the text throws up.

Appalonia · 03/09/2025 12:25

Now we have a trans ex police officer. Sounds just like a bloke! In fact no-one would have known if they were trans if Vine hadn't VERY DELIBERATELY pointed it out...

There's a real opportunity here to have GC voices heard and change the narrative to hear what these poor vulnerable minority are really saying on social media.

littlbrowndog · 03/09/2025 12:26

He did point it otherwise we would have thought it was a bloke

ScrollingLeaves · 03/09/2025 12:26

Themaghag · 03/09/2025 11:28

But surely that's what Glinner suggested? His tweet referred to 'men' not trans identifying men, just men. The fact that any man has, over the last several years, been encouraged to enter single sex facilities if he wants to, has come about because trans dentifying men have claimed it as their right, is neither here nor there. Glinner's tweet didn't specify any particular subset of men and furthermore, he simply offered the same good advice as the Queen's mother, which Camilla had the presence of mind to use to excellent effect!

Exactly the trans part is irrelevant. The category being referred to in connection to being excluded from Ladies’ lavatories is the sex category ‘male’.

NeverOneBiscuit · 03/09/2025 12:27

Imagine being a genuinely vulnerable member of society (& god knows there are plenty of them) & seeing a smug lawyer/journalist pleading that white, mainly middle aged men in wigs & dresses are so terribly vulnerable, if not the most.

I think I’d throw my chair at the telly.

WinterTrees · 03/09/2025 12:27

Ooh, interesting JV pushing back hard against Georgina the deep-voiced ex-cop saying gender is the same as race.
