It’s so weird, given the amount of reputational damage the Met has inflicted on itself in recent years (eg by employing rapists, to take just one example), why it is so keen to incur further reputational damage, particularly at a time when free speech is such a live topic in the U.K. It’s almost as if they enjoy it.

Self defence is spontaneous....telling someone to kick someone in rhe balls is premeditated u

How do you teach anyone self defence without premeditating what to do if you're under threat?

CohensDiamondTeeth · 02/09/2025 19:51

Daygloboo · 02/09/2025 19:39

But I thought he advocated kicking people in the nuts ?

Did you actually read the tweets? It doesn't appear you have.

He didn't say "seek out and kick random trans identified men in the nuts for no reason at all" did he? Read the tweet attached.

You're all using ilk in the wrong context anyways....just shut up and do us all a favour

Gender ideology was imposed top down, like no human rights movement, and women's rights and free speech in response to it are being fought for from grassroots level, like all human rights movements. It will be a while before the establishments realise it's happened or feel the effect, but hypocritical lunacy like this is one of the catalysts.

“The @metpoliceuk press office has said @Glinner was arrested under suspicion of having committed an offence under s3A of the Public Order Act.

S3A says: “A person who distributes, or shows or plays, a recording of visual images or sounds which are threatening is guilty of an offence if he intends thereby to stir up religious hatred or hatred on the grounds of sexual orientation.”

@Glinner cannot possibly be guilty of this offence since it makes no reference to transgender status and all three of the tweets the police questioned him about referred to trans rights activists.

Indeed, in 2022 the Law Commission of England and Wales consulted about extending the stirring up offences in the POA to include the other characteristics protected under other hate crime laws – namely, disability and transgender status. That makes it clear that, as it stands, S3A of the Public Order Act does not make it a criminal offence to stir up hatred against someone on the grounds of transgender status.

For that reason, there is zero chance of the Crown Prosecution Service bringing a case against @Glinner under s3A of the POA.

Sir Mark Rowley should make it clear no further action will be taken, issue an apology and offer @glinner substantial compensation for false arrest and wrongful imprisonment.

An apology and comp is not enough.

We need the Justice Secretary to step in. There needs to be an enquiry.

This is not okay, this is not how a liberal democracy operates.

I often think of how I might handle a situation where I was in danger. There's no point trying to figure it out in the moment, a plan needs to be made. Hence self defence classes.
Which reminds me, I must have another conversation with my daughter about it.

Like fuck it is. Imposed on the QT with no scrutiny or debate.

CohensDiamondTeeth · 02/09/2025 19:57

Daygloboo · 02/09/2025 19:44

Yes but you still dont kick them I'm the balls , do you

If a man is in my female single sex space, such as a toilet, he is acting unlawfully and in a harassing manner. That is an abuse of women, we don't know if he's going to be violent or a rapist.

If he will not leave, even when the police are called and I feel at risk of violence or sexual assault and have no way of escape, you can be damn sure I'm going to kick him fucking hard as I can in the balls! Wouldn't you?

Frankly one hard kick in the balls to this specific type of man as a means of keeping women and girls safe is the least they deserve - for clarity I think they need jailed, but a swift kick in the nads will have to do in the short term!

What do you say about all the self defence teachers, including those from the police themselves, who say the same? Why aren't they being arrested for inciting violence do you think?

Some serious attempts at misinformation I’m not surprised.

this can’t possibly stick. They blatantly knew that too this is just trying to intimidate GL into silence and show others who may speak up what happens if they do.

”a photo you can smell” is hilarious. Maybe a bit rude but ffs look at the comments on photos of women there is much worse there!!

ThatCyanCat · 02/09/2025 19:59

Daygloboo · 02/09/2025 19:55

No. You can look up the Denton report if you want a really sinister read on that. However, a huge part of it came from Stonewall needing a new cause now it had a firm hand in the establishment following its stellar work for LGB rights. No, when transgenderism was forced upon us, it came from above. That's why the TRAs are represented by the NHS, governing bodies, employers and human rights organisations, and women are having to crowdfund. And comedy writers are being arrested.

Britinme · 02/09/2025 20:00

@Christinapple I asked a question upthread to which I haven't yet seen an answer (apologies if I've missed it but this thread is moving fairly fast and my time is limited). Here's the question I asked and I would really like a response to it:

How many trans-identified men have you reported for threatening to rape or kill women for expressing gender-critical opinions? Do you think Linehan's tweets are more serious or less serious than those by the trans-identified men?

MrsSlatersParrot · 02/09/2025 20:01

Never wrestle with litotes. You'll ruin your lower back.

No, I take the comb I have been using on my hair and run the teeth hard and suddenly across the bottom of their nasal septum.

As recommended by a police sergeant of my acquaintance a fair few years ago as a good way to put off sex pests and molesters. He did suggest that if they fell over as a result you might safely be able to kick them in the balls as you left, mind....

What a stupid thing to say. It's not premeditation at all🙄

Arran2024 · 02/09/2025 20:03

It is infuriating. Trans activists have posted plenty of threatening stuff and held banners like the "Decapitate Terfs" one and nobody does anything.

Daygloboo · 02/09/2025 19:51

As my friend would say, dream the impossible dream, climb the fence, reach for the horizon etc

EsmaCannonball · 02/09/2025 20:04

So many of these cases make one wonder exactly what would it take for some of these transactivists to be labelled nuisance callers, police time-wasters or vexatious litigants. Do the police and the courts never consider they are being used, maliciously or politically, to settle personal scores?

MrsSlatersParrot · 02/09/2025 20:06

CohensDiamondTeeth · 02/09/2025 20:02

I think what Daygloboo is struggling to articulate is the idea that Linehan's post - which he presumably (hopefully?) thought about before writing - could be construed as a premeditated suggestion that others should kick people in the undercarriage.
You could sort of see that as premeditation. If you squint hard.
