Hello! Yes it is. Although I won't be posting much for a bit as I desperately need to sleep!

Thanks for persisting.

So sorry this has happened.

And yes, get all the sleep you need.

a) You the one making biased presumptions. Most women posting here have seen more than enough evidence of transactivist lies and double standards. “[our] tribalistic mentality” is a gratuitous insult. You do find it hard to resist these, don’t you? Is it a kind of genderist Tourette’s?

b) What criminal statements has Linehan made? Evidence, please.

c) look at terfisaslur for a taste of the endless tsunami of misogynistic rage transgenderists pour over feminists.

d) “Be kind” is the order transactivists used to give to anyone who dared question men’s alleged right to intrude in women’s spaces. Of course it’s now used ironically.

That was meant to quote MrsSlatersParrot · Today 17:19 There's quite a lot wrong in this statement, but I'd like to address a few points if I may.

JFC! I called the police last year because there was a car parked just outside my flat and the male occupant was screaming abuse at his female passenger, she got out the car and he followed her, still screaming and grabbing her arm. Did they come out, did they fuck.

I took the car registration and description of both occupants just in case they drove off. I had a call from an officer several days later to say unless the incident had been captured on cctv they wouldn’t do anything.

Now I know why, they are too busy arresting people for upsetting men in dresses. Pathetic.

You should have said he was screaming transphobic ‘stuff’. That’s clearly far more serious that threatening behaviour towards a woman.

"Have you seen the signs calling for the punching, decapitation or death of TERFS? Seen the TERF is a slur website? Read what disgusting things these trans identified men tweet and write on reddit?", etc., etc.

An emotive response is rarely a good idea.

Did you miss the part of my post in which I said "And of course death and rape threats matter; they matter very deeply, and should be treated very seriously", or did you blank it through confirmation bias? If you did miss it, please read it again; it's pretty plain that I think all such threats are hideous and should be dealt with seriously.

Unfortunately, it's simply not the case that they are.
My assumption, and it is an assumption, is that this happens not because they are targeted at self-labelled 'TERFs' but because those posting in the kinds of place you helpfully mentioned simply aren't significant enough for the police to bother with.
I agree, they should; but it's naïve to think they will.

Hope this has helped clarify things for you.

Oh yes, do let's all apologise if our "tone" isn't ladylike or calm enough for you.

Just stop with the tone policing. There's nothing wrong at all with women being angry or "emotional" at the extreme double standards. Which literally put us in danger. I'm glad you think it's somehow theoretical and women being threatened with death and rape is not something any of us should get "emotional" about.

FFS.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/09/02/graham-linehan-claims-he-was-arrested-for-tweets-heathrow/

"Sir Keir Starmer has told police to concentrate on tackling serious crime after Graham Linehan was arrested over gender-critical social media posts.
The Prime Minister criticised the Metropolitan Police after the comedy writer* was arrested by five armed officers at Heathrow airport as he got off a flight.
The Father Ted
writer, who has become vocal critic of transgender ideology, said he was detained “like a terrorist” and locked in a cell for making jokes online.
His case has triggered a backlash, with Nigel Farage, the Reform UK leader, set to raise his arrest in free speech discussions with allies of Donald Trump in Washington this week.
On Tuesday afternoon the Prime Minister’s spokesman suggested police should be concentrating on issues that “matter most to their communities”.
He said: “This is an operational matter for the police, but the Prime Minister and the Home Secretary have been clear about what their priorities on crime and policing are: that’s tackling antisocial behaviour, shoplifting and street crime as well as reducing serious violent crime such as knife crime and violence against women.”
The spokesman continued:
*“The Met Police Commissioner himself has talked previously about recruits joining the police to protect the public, and that he wants the police to exist to protect the public, spending their time dealing with the issues that matter most to their communities.”"

New press bod already got his feet under the table.
GOOD

The PM may possibly have been briefed by the new comms chap in No.10, Tim Allan, ex Sex Matters board 😉

@IDareSay Indeed

BettyBooper · 02/09/2025 17:53

Man advises women to defend themselves against men who have crossed a boundary to be in a space they know they shouldn't be in. To use self defense .

And gets arrested for it.

Because TRAs reported him to the police.

If he's getting arrested for suggesting it, what could happen to a woman who actually does this in self defense, do you think?

IDareSay · 02/09/2025 17:53

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/09/02/gender-critical-graham-linehan-arrest-free-speech/

Suzanne Moore's take:

"As Linehan clearly sees some trans activists as the entitled, aggressive men that they are, he refuses to compromise and returns their threats. His “punch in the balls” tweet (his joking recommendation ‘if all else fails’ should a woman find a trans-identified male is in a female-only space) is part of that. Remember we live in a culture where it appears to be OK to carry signs that say “Decapitate Terfs” amongst other threats that explicitly call for violence against women.
The tweets in question are not, as he says, his best work. They are not ‘nice’. A lot of X is not nice, but this arrest is completely ridiculous. Actually, it is chilling."

Good heavens! A sensible, rational, and meaningful statement by our Prime Minister.

I mean, he's not wrong; but it's so rare these days he's right!

KS is beginning to read the room, and understand the needless damage this is doing to the govt's popularity. God knows, the govt has enough on their plate, without needlessly alienating half the population by kow-towing to the gender lobby.

Yes, that was a surprise. Will be VERY interesting to see how that pans out and if things start to change. They certainly need to. This is dystopian.

Hear, hear! On all points. Although I fear it's too little too late.

chrith · 02/09/2025 17:58

police surely need to exercise caution with vexatious complaints? Some are serial complainers. Time wasters. Surely that’s the crime, wasting police time? Or is a case of: complaint made, off we go to make arrest?

mrshoho · 02/09/2025 17:58

The world has gone mad. Well the UK for sure. Such a shameful use of police resources.

corlan · 02/09/2025 18:00

IMO the aim for Chris's posts is to wind us up. It doesn't work, he just looks really, stupid and comes across as quite the sad character.

It's not like he's here to convince us, because we know what the craic is, we know he's talking bollocks.

He's not trying to convince lurkers or those who aren't as well informed as the FWR regulars because he never posts elsewhere on MN about any of this.

He doesn't stick to reddit or twitter where his brand of bullshit would at least find an appreciative audience.

He just comes straight here, to where he knows a large number of feminist women are.

I think this is the only female attention he receives; he feeds off it here on this board.

IwantToRetire · 02/09/2025 18:01

Pluvia · 02/09/2025 17:33

You'd be right. Straight out of the TRA playbook.

Agreed - and as has been said before dont feed the trolls.

It takes up space on a thread for no purpose because it is just about provocation.

Threads would benefit from not being diverted down cul de sacs.

SternJoyousBeev2 · 02/09/2025 18:03

Signalbox · 02/09/2025 15:06

It's not funny but it's also entire inoffensive. Why are the police still obsessing over this type of thing? Even the kick them in the balls thing is nonsense. He's clearly joking about the fact that most TW have balls. It's not even remotely close to incitemnet (or shouldn't be anyway).

Because TRAs like the boring pricks who plop on these threads continually submit complaints to the police. They make such a nuisance of themselves when they don’t get their own way that the police probably think it’s easier to arrest GL than tell TRAs to

FUCK RIGHT OFF!!!!!!

Waitwhat23 · 02/09/2025 18:03

For anyone asking if Police Scotland took any action over the 'decapitate terfs' sign in front of which were pictured the smirking faces of the Shadow SNP Spokesperson (Women) and the now Minister for Equalities.

No.

MrsSlatersParrot · 02/09/2025 17:19

There's quite a lot wrong in this statement, but I'd like to address a few points if I may.

"bog standard TRA who applies the usual double standards"
This is biased presumption on your part, and the direct result of your tribalistic mentality. When you 'other' people like this you entrench your ideology and diminish your ability to learn and communicate.

"a bit of hyperbole or figures of speech are heinous crimes against a trans person"
Linehan, and others, haven't gotten into trouble with the police for using hyperbole or figures of speech, have they? They've made clear, unequivocal statements that can - in UK law - be interpreted as criminal.
If they hadn't, the police would never have been involved.

"a tsunami of explicit, violent death and rape threats against GC women don't matter"
It isn't "a tsunami" in any place other than your head. And of course death and rape threats matter; they matter very deeply, and should be treated very seriously. I agree they aren't always, and that in itself is criminal, but please try to keep a sense of proportion.

"#bekind"
Ironic inclusion, don't you think?

My God, you truly think this post is clever.

I would go through this, sir, but anyone who misses the point of the final hashtag as fully and embarrassingly as you do wouldn't be capable of following it. I can't actually believe that you still think you're in a position to patronise. That's amazing.

Genderism is nothing but one enormous double standard, that men are entitled to more of women's rights than women are, and everything, including the crazy one you perpetuate here as you tell women rape and death threats don't exist and don't matter much if they do, projects from that. The idea that we don't know what a woman is, but we know a man is one. That we don't know what sex someone is but we should know what sex they're pretending to be.

Tribalism doesn't mean what you think it does, double standards doesn't mean what you think it does, tsunami was meant metaphorically if that helps you (you genderists do very selectively struggle with metaphor and figures of speech, I know) and my God the #bekind didn't mean what you think it did either.

Lord, grant me the misplaced confidence...

Of course. Some will spend a lot of time reporting GL and JKR for tweets.

Its all nonsense this stuff, Labour might make noises on it but the laws still stand.
