Get the popcorn folks. GLP is getting ready to lose again.

They are going after barrister Sarah Phillimore for referring to a man as a man. They think they are going to lawfare her into silence.

The only thing is other TAs have already tried this on Phillimore multiple times. They went to the Bar Council their claims were dismissed. They all failed. More to the point this ‘Kate’ is the same guy complaining again who already failed. Sarah Phillimore knows the law and likes explaining it to TAs and making them lose. So she doesn't even resent the attempt.

As Sarah has stated "They pick on someone who not only enjoys this but has now a vast repository of knowledge about the law in this area."

Ah Sophie- the fragrant lady who very helpfully decided to help us other ladiesz by testing some washing pegs for us. She kindly tested durability and clip strength by clipping them to her own nipples and posted the pictures for us. I certainly feel happy that those pegs would be useful keeping a duvet on my washing line during a slight storm and fine rain. I'm grateful for her product testing and will be sure to take her recommendations on other household products.

JM named SP and her profession and made a very specific claim about her and knows that she has funding for a legal case.

No idea on the ins and outs of GLP funding, but it’s almost as though he is trying to create a court case.

These accounts show that for the year ended January 2025, Good Law Practice spent £1.7 million on salaries (£594k related to litigation work, and £1.1M related to campaigning and fundraising). With absolutely nothing to show for any of it. This org exists to serve itself.

With an income of £4.4M that financial year, only £692k of that (16%) was spent on legal advice and litigation costs. The rest seems to go on GLP’s operational costs. Seems kind of lopsided?

The only positive is that GLP are running Trans activism in the UK into the ground and wasting their money. They could be targeting other women who are less able to handle the stress.

Going to be interesting if the press get hold of this too.

Sarah is never going to break. We know GLP will lose because they do it all the time. They just lie about losing, and pretend it never happened.

People marvel that I have no fear and no compassion. This is why. Because I have had 100s of these ineffectual and increasingly risible threats over the years.

If you think my behaviour merits prosecution, then set one in motion. You do not however, because you know you would fail. You instead make continually malicious complaints to my regulator in the vain hope that the mere existence of a complaint will damage my professional reputation or mental health.

At the very least it seems as though this will be an interesting teaching aid to demonstrate the difference between speech protected by article 10 rights and defamation.

GLP has a very weird setup. It's not a law firm and it's not a charity (though theoretically it's a "nonprofit"), so that's two regulatory regimes it's not subject to.

And Jolyon is no longer registered as a barrister though he's ostentatiously kept the KC title.

An uncharitable person might think GLP was specifically set up to keep its activities opaque. They might even think it's a bit of a fucking cheek to keep dobbing SP in to the BSB when Jolyon has made sure he himself is no longer regulated by the BSB.

It's increasingly viable that Sarah herself has a potential case of harassment against certain idiots, which she could in theory bring.
