This happened to me and my daughter when she was 13. A dude in makeup and miniskirt who was 'helping' bring her clothes and bras to a changing area. I glared at the dude, held fast the changing room curtain (which was gaping on each side) and, surprise, surprise, his woman manager swapped him out w/ herself to help us.

Inadequate response from M&S. Why was this person allowed to roam around the women's clothing department in the first place?

I wonder which store this was? Someone on here has definitely mentioned a trans-identifying male employee working in an M&S lingerie fitting room, I think it was in one of the central London stores? I wonder if there is more than one male employee working in their lingerie fitting rooms?

Normally you're looking for staff on the M & S shop floor, they're certainly not approaching you. But as we know, M & S has form for wedging men into the lingerie department - including their changing rooms. Back in 2018 they had a man claiming to be a woman fitting bras. Buried in the linked thread is the same Stonewall nonsense about M & S creating "a place where everyone – customers and colleagues – feels included, and can be themselves,"

It’s not an accident he targeted a vulnerable teenager to talk about underwear with. Wildly inappropriate. M&S need to move him to food or furniture or something where he can’t involve non consenting women and girls in his role play.

Either there is more than one trans employee in M&S bra measuring department or he’s been there for years and years because I’ve seen numerous threads on here about him.

Amongst other things, these stories hammer home that no decent man would imagine a teenage girl wanted help from him in buying a bra. It’s role playing & validation seeking, at the expense of females.

Why did M&S employ this person to work in the women's clothing department in the first place? It's so inappropriate and asking for trouble. Good on that mum for complaining, but women shouldn't be put in this position in the first place.
