Just to add another sadness. Amnesty UK are pushing Kate Nash's 'lets have a heated debate' in the form of popular music. It is using her video with their logo and supporting her message on Tiktok.

Nash, like Judith fucking Butler, is held up as a feminist but both put 'queer theory' ahead of feminism. It's really important I think to point this out about many female TRAs. I don't think queer theory and feminism are necessarily incompatible but this strand where you raise men up over women definitely is. You fundamentally cannot be a feminist if you don't centre women.

Maybe it's a shrewd tactic to get airplay on radio6 who have spent all week with a dominant hand-wringing narrative about how backwards the UK is with trans rights. When many of their listeners will think it was a step backwards for women to be walloped by biological men in the boxing ring.
