The filmmakers of 'Adult Human Female' are taking UCU to tribunal.

I'll try to find an archive copy.

LW was offended and was going on about the number of trans people murdered around the world. NC then asked the right question to cut through that: how many of them were murdered by gender critical feminists?

LW now saying that there's no debate happening. This seems to be based in her view that gender critical views are invalid and shouldn't be aired.

I left teaching a long time ago, but then there was a teaching union which had a policy of never going on strike. Perhaps a new union will emerge. As mentioned earlier, why pay £40 a month for a union which won’t represent you.

UCU doesn’t have to be explicit about its discrimination, it just has to practise it.

My main question is how can someone who cannot answer direct questions and jumps to manipulative emotive hyperbole so quickly hold this position? How is she credible as an instructor after this?

How can there be a debate when any discussion was howled down in a hail of "NO DEBATE!!!!1"?

My feeling is that the empirical biological reality of sexed human bodies is considered 'hidden transphobia'. Before we know it the existence of humans who gestate humans in their uteri (uteruses?) will be considered a hate crime by these loons.

If I never hear the emotionally manipulative term 'dogwhistle' again it will be too soon.

Yes, the same. He’s one of the most aggressive and misogynistic bullies in UCU. And also not an academic. I’m uncomfortable about UCU representing Professional Services staff because some of them do seem to demonstrate outright hostility towards the principle of academic freedom.

NC just got LW to admit that any film called Adult Human Female, made to address the two critical questions of gender critical views, must be transphobic. But it was all hedged around and not especially clear.

NC is going for the key point. UCU did not care about the content of the film, they just wanted it banned whatever the content was.
