The “women’s march” that’s all about the men.

I couldn’t see a thread about this, but I’m just here to share how annoying it is to see a so-called women’s march so concerned with placating men. This is the march in January.

As well as the highly predictable “this is for all women” (meaning including the ones who are men) and the ‘we don’t tolerate transphobia’ (meaning any concept of sex-based oppression), the Facebook group is full of posts reassuring men that of course they’re welcome and it’s not all men and obviously “not my Nigel”. It’s infuriating. Why do people do this?

Have you approached FSU? If not - I can do this. I'm a member and I have used them before and they were central in winning my case.

I have approached them. I used their contact form and awaiting response. Would you like to contact them too? Maybe from two people may help more? I joined the union too.

@TigerLily40 I can certainly do this, however I haven't been silenced. Can you send any evidence you have or direct me to conversations which I can share with FSU.

Do they ever wonder with all the fussing against people who won't deny sex - how did men become women?
It didn't used to happen, a few labels were created and suddenly we have to believe the impossible is possible?

Those screenshots are depressing. They really don't have a clue. They have just decided terf = evil bigot, and they haven't made any attempt to understand the issues.

They can create a wee social media bubble if they wish. But how are they actually going to achieve any of their aims if they are scared to even discuss or debate them with anyone who disagrees? (And to be honest, the majority of people don't agree that men can become women).

This is not activism, it's just a circle jerk.

There's a polite reminder about bigotry and transphobia on there from the 11th december, the latter paragraphs say -

"This group is about all genders. Not focusing on CIS or TRANS as any/or the main reason for the march, yet some people seem to think that because we are so inclusive that it means we don't understand that we will likely have some different views of some of the topics women face.

With this said, it's okay to not agree 100% but we have a zero tolerance for any hatred towards anyone in the group regardless of gender."

eh? 'This group is about all genders" - so why are they calling it a 'Women's March'? Just call it a 'March for all genders'. 🤔

"...because we are so inclusive that it means we don't understand that we will likely have some different views of some of the topics women face." - So they know that some of us have different views however they will only allow and agree with those views that only align with theirs; even if it's an issue that affects women i.e. marching with a transwoman within the group.

and re; the hatred...the only 'hatred' I've seen has been targeted to those PP who have queried things i.e. the lady who was accused of being a boomer...

I questioned a poster about the use of the term 'women's march' versus her preference to use 'pregnant people' - I was told that she didn't name the women's march, I pressed a little further, then was blocked.

If anyone's in, could you screenshot the conversation in response to the query about why there hadn't been much uptake of the petition about abortion. I suggested it may be because of the use of the term 'pregnant people', after some tooing and froing I was banned.

I have contacted FSU and evidence really helps.
