It got your car right once IIRC.

AlisonDonut · 30/11/2024 14:06

It did.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 30/11/2024 14:07

Spooky. Well, after several attempts the AI has sort of delivered. Is either of these astonishingly accurate?

I asked it for 'French delicacies'. I can't believe they're a cheeseburger & a bowl of bananas, possibly with oversized matches.

AlisonDonut · 30/11/2024 14:12

I am currently eating mozzarella and tomato in a baguette and I have blonde hair (greying rapidly) and am alot older and don't need a brolly here today but apart from that, spot on.

AlisonDonut · 30/11/2024 14:20

I do want to share a minor miracle though.

We went to IKEA. On a Saturday. The car park was rammed. I though 'this is a bad, bad idea'

We went in. The queue for the restaurant was starting to get to the top of the escalator.

We steamed through and just got what we were there for.

And we were out in less than half an hour.

No queue at the till. Straight through.

The 'oversized matches' are probably 'Freedom Fries'Smile
I had to check if that was real, or Simpsons - 'cheese-eating surrender-monkeys' is Simpsons, not, as a lot of people seem to believe, George Bush.
Freedom Fries is real, and neither Simpsons nor George Bush.

I meant the ones in with the bananas. I suppose there is such a thing as a banana flambe...

I'm trying to recall where I used to eat banana fritters.

If it was in the sort of eateries we used to go to after pub closing time, perhaps it's not surprising that I don't remember.

DeanElderberry · 30/11/2024 14:50

mmm Banana flambé. Maybe tomorrow when I'm BACK ON THE BOOZE after bloody November.

Glued to the radio here, counting counting counting. Not sure how many or which boxes have been opened so far.

DeanElderberry · 30/11/2024 14:51

Sorry, I'm sure the Bluestocking is a politics-free zone, I will go elsewhere.

FuzzyPuffling · 30/11/2024 15:01

Reality is most definitely allowed to creep in Deano.
I'm afraid I don't know enough about the Irish election to comment ( sensibly), but certainly get your concern.

ErrolTheDragon · 30/11/2024 15:27

Iirc it was Chinese restaurants which used to do banana fritters. That or lychees in syrup with a scoop of icecream.

Craicnet for us I suppose, Deano, let's follow the transferrable votes all the way down the rabbit holes of proportional representation with a single transferrable vote to the umpteenth count Smile
With occasional breaks to see how Ireland are doing against Australia in the rugby, and Cuala are doing in the hurling against St Mary's Ardee...

Bordeaux. The Manchester of France.

Boat for scale.

It's actually been quite nice in the lower part of the Northwest of England today.
I've been out to The Duck Place (aka Martin Mere WWT) - lots of winter migrant ducks, geese and whooper swans, plus a kingfisher.

There's an awful lot of fit French blokes here picking up their bibs, tshirts and little goodie bags. Just saying...

Please show me a fit French bloke . I like les beaux matelots de Jean Paul Gaultier (sp?) and I'm sick of looking at sats monitors , tinctures , paper handkerchiefs , unguents and tablets . (O2 level improving at 93% so shouldn't complain)

Would that be an Argentinian Malbec or a Chilean Malbec? They are both great but incredibly different.

It's the Argentinian of course. Trivento Reserva.

ErrolTheDragon · 30/11/2024 16:49

Glad your O2 is improving, fluffy. I'm sure someone can illustrate the Bordeaux half marathon. My imagination is tending towards them having a sustaining pain au chocolat in one hand, the other left free to grab a drink (Winenaturellement) at the refreshment points).

OK. I'm not all jealous.Envy

MyrtleStrumpet · 30/11/2024 17:17

We had prosecco this afternoon as we put up the tree. More Malbec this evening with dinner.

I asked for quokkas to pour prosecco while decorating the Christmas tree.

It's the amarone I'm more jealous of, that's our treat wine of choice. We drink very little nowadays - doesn't really go well with DHs big bag of meds - but I expect he'll get some to go with our late Xmas sirloin when we've got dd here to help us drink it.

Your wish is my command. Sadly my wish is seldom the AI's command, but there we go.
