Another small sherry just before bed. Christmas starts on Saturday and then you'll see me pull out the stops.

I also seem to know which presents I'm buying already which is unheard of. My older brother (of 3) died in February and it's only one less present to buy, but it seems like I've got much fewer presents to get than that.

He was 56 and 6 months old when he died and I'm 56 and 2 months old, so I'll outlive him. Such a weird feeling. I'm not sad just amazed that one less present feels like 4 less.

Anyway off to bed.

May I join @SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius and others on the alto line? I also sang alto in choirs for years, and the reason I know most of the carols from memory is that my sight reading is rubbish.

I've been trying to make the AI do what I want, and gradually realising that it will never do what I want. I think this is part of its fatal attraction. We mere humans fondly imagine that we can manipulate it to our advantage.

It's quite terrifying and reminds me yet again that one of my worst ever nightmares was about Mrs Tiggywinkle after seeing the movie of the Ashton ballet.

Eldest sprog woke up in agony from an ear infection(?). I've been walking miles with her to the chemist, after being triaged on the 'phone by the Doc. (111 were useless). The chemist sent us to the Doc's (too old for them). So we walked in. Made an appointment to get an appointment. Then walked home. Her appointments come through so I'll be off again in a few minutes.

I don't know what my singing voice is. I'm curious to find out. Is foghorn one of the options?

I don't know what my singing voice is. For most of my life I was too shy to sing, then I started singing along to CDs & my range seems to be that of Dobie Gray singing 'Out On the Floor'! Once positioned within the Bluestocking choir, I'll do my best to belt out carols with the rest of you.

AI refused to include mummy Cake, so this is my/its best effort.

Didn't try earlier as I had workmen outside, but they've gone now. Fingers crossed they won't need to come back.

Can't stroke for long, her feets are like daggers.

I hope she feels better soon, and doesn't suffer the side effect I get from amoxycillin, which is that everyone else becomes unkind and demanding and mean and it's UNFAIR and I have to cry.
