That's more of a "dragpie".

😂

Catiette · 11/11/2024 19:35

Dragpie is outstanding!

Just checking in to say Hi.

I don't think anyone's brought Spartacus over yet, either? I found him in gladiatorial combat with an offending gerbil, so scooped him up, and here he is, looking guilty...

I'm getting a bit better at the image thing, though still far from the dizzy heights of most.

Mystified by what he's holding, though. Telephone? Warning of imminent karaoke?

FuzzyPuffling · 11/11/2024 19:42

It's the tv remote control. My cat is usually found sitting on it anyway.

Going through old pix today, I found this one which seems appropriate...

Spartacus hasn't realised yet that there is a cat flap in the pub door!

<screeching noises>

OK so yes Spartacus has realised there is a cat flap! However apparently it would be beneath Spartacus to use it.

The gerbils are currently using it when they forget their swipe cards.

Hello, I've been rounding up the pigs and goats from the old thread. I left a note for Steve to tell him we'd gone somewhere else, not here, somewhere totally different.

Tres chic, Magpie.

Igmum · 11/11/2024 20:59

Cheers all blinged up and sequinned terfs. I'm heading for the beer.

Good luck tomorrow @Boiledbeetle. Many moons ago I went in for a hysteroscopy and polyp removal. They put me under the ether but didn't remove anything then sent me home in my groggy state with zero explanation. It took me about three days to wonder why and a further three minutes to figure out that it must be something Very Very Serious Indeed. After several days of panic I phoned them. It turns out that anaesthetists have naff all to do after they've put you under and mine got bored and started flipping through the paperwork. Apparently they'd got me to sign the forms giving them permission to anaesthetise and have a look, but not the one letting them do anything about it once they got there. So back to the bottom of the waiting list I went 🤦‍♀️

Just seen on twitter/X

I know we don't let real real life intrude very often but I have to add the below screen shot to show the response that came from JKR after the queen mother quip!

"There's no point having 'fuck you' money if you aren't going to say 'fuck you' x"

Just when you thought you couldn't love her now than you do!

Brilliant, BB/JKR!

Boily and I are all glammed up tonight. Not sure why Boily is smoking though, I couldn't get rid of it!

That will be because whilst its out of shot, I chain smoke joints throughout my waking hours! That or it's because I look smoking hot!

ifIwerenotanandroid · 11/11/2024 21:07

The latter. I could fancy you all over again, but we both know where that leads.

They had four buses between them! FOUR and still some managed to not get on them!

And does Steve really think no one has noticed its him under the disguise?

Idiots! Although I don't blame them for not doing anything.

When an operation went wrong years ago they used that signed form to get out of accepting any responsibility for their complete incompetence during the operation!

This time, for the same operation not only did I have to sign the form but they sent a very long letter prior to the operation spelling out all the possible complications and that it was entirely my decision to go through with it despite knowing it could result in death. It was very much a letter written by the legal department rather than the gynaecologist.

You shouldn't have had to go back to the back of the queue though as it was the hospital fault.

Magpiecomplex · 11/11/2024 21:37

Yes, good luck for tomorrow @Boiledbeetle

ErrolTheDragon · 11/11/2024 21:41

Raising a glass to jkr having the 'fuck you' money and 'saying all the things'. And saying them so very well.Wine

All the best for the morrow Beetle.

Is this going to be a bling thread?

I think one of the pigs ratted to Steve, must have been a stool pig-eon.

Speaking personally, I think all threads should be bling threads!

ErrolTheDragon · 11/11/2024 22:45

Hope your appointments go well beetle and puffling.

I'm sure Woley's cheesecake will go well too.

I think all threads should be bling threads!

For some reason I'm thinking of the Cat in Red Dwarf.
