Boily took a break from here a while ago, I remember we were worried at the time, as we are now. She reappeared unsquashed after a while to continue to entertain and delight us.
Hopefully the same will happen this time and there'll soon be a little wave of a beetleleg - any of them will do, Boily - to reassure us that she's OK

I have not heard of the particular chocolates you mention: Monty Bojangles truffles are out downfall here. DH has not eaten a single choc for months- he may have one at Christmas.

We've managed to evolve into the 'one square of 90% sometimes after dinner' thing. I've even got some montezumas absolute black in at the moment.
We do like some nice rum truffles or suchlike at Xmas but DH no longer wolfs half of them before breakfast, I get to ration them out.
My own issue is more with cholesterol numbers inexorably edging up, so my nemesis is cheese...that's a much more serious problem at Xmas imo!

I'd never heard of Niederegger, for a moment back there my undercaffeinated brain thought 'German philosopher' (some sort of unholy Nietzsche/Heidegger mashup).

This of course resulted in a search for 'philosophy advent calendars', which reveals that yes, Etsy does sell such things including 'Women Philosophers Advent Calendar Tea Box' (they do it without the tea too for weirdos those who don't like tea.

I may have indulged in years gone by, hence yesterday's email which serves as a kind of tantalus now: I can see them but I can't have them. But actually, as we're at the Bluey, I can have as many as I want!!!

Absolutely.

Thanks. I'm desperate to avoid the Type 2 medication, so that was the motivation. I cut out everything sweet except dark chocolate, & I've managed to ration myself which is something I never thought I could do. I don't want to, of course, but needs must.
