Well... he actually did say that in a round about doctor way. Not the pleasant beetle bit, which I do usually get this time I got "I reviewed Boiledbeetle" (oh crap!)
So... there was a different version of how part of the procedure went that was given a few hours after the op to what was said yesterday, which when I politely!!! queried the discrepancy triggered the part of the conversation with the testicle comment from him.
Today the letter reads "... I do not quite know why there is no operation letter as I know I did dictate one on the day..." which conviently means the nitty gritty explanation of the operation written at the time version doesn't exist in my medical file (The actual post op notes where really lacking in detail as that caused an issue the next morning).
However, I had to go see my doctor a couple of weeks after the op as I got a post op infection and she was late calling me in for the appointment, and apologised saying "sorry, I was just reading the letter from the consultant about your operation". I thought at the time I must chase why I hadn't received a copy then forgot to chase it.
So if the person who typed it forgot to put it on the system that would explain me not getting a copy and no copy existing in my file.
I must phone the doctors surgery tomorrow and see what it was the doctor was reading. If it was the post op dictated letter I want to see it as I'd be interested to read what he had to say straight after the operation, without the benefit of having the biopsy results and the pathology report in front of him.
And if it does exist and has a different version of things on it his testicles will be shrivelling with embarrassment!
