The "nice" "photorealistic" AI is one tiny twitch of the finger away from the absolute nightmares - twisted limbs and merged entities like something from one of those horror film science labs. The lovely little AI photo of the dear little gerbil standing on the saucer features a hand holding the saucer with hideously elongated second third and fourth fingers (and an extra fingertip). I tried drawing it to see what the proportions looked like. Then I had a look at some of the rejects I've got in my deleted files and I found several pictures of horrific hands, with a few other unidentifiable limbs/body parts thrown in too. However we do know AI is weak when it comes to hands.

@inkymoose @FuzzyPuffling i do believe it is true to say artists find hans very difficult, i know i do.

I am always drawn to paintings in galleries and national trust houses which include hands with quite a lot not so good.

maybe AI references art work? Find that intriguing.

So that's where I was going wrong. I wasn't wearing the magic chefs hat!

Using AI feels like crossing over to the dark side. I've read a blog by someone who got a job "teaching" AI. They had no qualifications as such, but felt that their input was valuable because they were not a nerdy boy aged 19. So who knows where AI gets its information from? I do know that when I was trying to get it to draw the gravy train, all the trains were characters out of Thomas the Tank Engine, always steam engines with some sort of industrial equipment in the background. AI didn't really know what gravy was either. It included baked beans and spaghetti quite often and when I asked it to leave off the baked beans it simply added more.

I've never tried AI. I'm happy just to admire others efforts.
Drawing, however, I've a better chance at that.

A genuine pox on all the houses of those encouraging AI.
Women artists are the most underpaid sector in Britain.
£10000 being the average earnings.
They are undervalued at auction at 50 percent of mens just because they were women.
Tested recently when auctioneers were shown same paintings and swapped names from men to womens.
Aside from that its grostesque excuse for creativity for those who have none or are too idle to put the work in.
Everyone knows the problems with AI yet encourages it.
Its always the same,going with the crowd no matter the harm.
There was exactly the same warnings with smartphones.
And now everyone blames them but wont take an responsibility for adopting them.

Having said that boiled, android and co are do everything they can to confuse AI.

Maybe that is the answer. GC luddites unite and fight.
