The original premises are getting crowded, we need to expand.

Welcome all women, and well behaved animals.

Do Tunnocks do gluten free? If not then they are definitely missing a trick

ifIwerenotanandroid · 14/09/2024 11:18

The AI is as confused as ever...

Mmmm they all look yum... I might have a bit of a quibble about the mint though, it looks a tad, comment dirai-je? incongruously green and fresh and ..
healthy😱

Sorry!

MarieDeGournay · 14/09/2024 11:15

Not a bother Deano, this is the Bluestocking, so the alcohol does not inebriate, the calories do not fatten, and the gluten is grand entirelyGrin

hmmm - and the viscera don't have that - er visceral reaction to the very thought? Not totally convinced of that or, to be honest, that does not inebriate line.

There have been times when I fear that dear Sister Angela, if she was still around, would denounce some of the habitués as gigleens or skitteens.

Though come to think of it, when she used to denounce us as gigleens and skitteens we were as stone cold sober as a teenager can be.

MarieDeGournay · 14/09/2024 11:41

gigleens and skitteens? love it! I would wear either of those badges with prideSmile
No doubt they were the kind of girls that our Sr Angela equivalent would accuse of causing 'ruaile buaile and shifting of furniture' in the classroom.

Sorry about the dietary nonchalance, I just take everything in the Bluestocking Arms as completely fictional - in real life, I can't eat or drink a lot of things -eg cheese or alcoholSad , so the whole thing is just a complete fantasy.

DeanElderberry · 14/09/2024 11:46

'ruaile buaile' yes! she did! are you me?

lcakethereforeIam · 14/09/2024 11:59

I think the mint leaves are actually cleverly made from sugar, so no worries about them being healthy.

Did the gravy bowsers get washed away? <worried>

Vegemiteandhoneyontoast · 14/09/2024 12:11

The gravy bowsers are in the barn up the road. I took them up there just before the river started rising.

lcakethereforeIam · 14/09/2024 12:31

That's a relief, thank you 😊

Vegemiteandhoneyontoast · 14/09/2024 12:37

Well, you can never have too much gravy.

Probably. How did we sneak two usernames past MNHQ?Grin

FuzzyPuffling · 14/09/2024 18:22

I'm a bit disturbed by the number of top-hatted men in The Bluestocking. Unless they are just cleaning up.

Don't worry, the AI is on the blink is all. It's just a figbox of some computer's imagination.

Just some very gender nonconforming women I expect, or a homage to the Man Friday swimmers.

Wasn't sir Topham Hatt a poster a while back? Maybe its her & her buddies.

FuzzyPuffling · 14/09/2024 19:26

Ah, the Fat Controller!

IRL, I have managed to have an argument with a woman on a " Hand Embroidery " Facebook group. It could only happen to me. I was so narked I corrected her spelling of "penises". 😁

quantumbutterfly · 14/09/2024 19:34

What was she embroidering???

FuzzyPuffling · 14/09/2024 19:49

quantumbutterfly · 14/09/2024 19:34

Ha ha, not what you think!
She was extolling the loveliness (!) of an embroidered dead deer's head.

I still don't understand the placement of penises in this embroidered dead dear head scenario....but maybe I don't want to😨

HELP

Bluestocking - the second leg
EdithStourton · 14/09/2024 20:07

@MarieDeGournay some mysteries are better left unsolved...

A mystery I would like solved, however, is whether the kitchens will be back in commission in time to cook Sunday lunch tomorrow. I won't be around to help, but I'm doing health some outdoor things in the morning and will be in dire need of a good feed by 1pm.

quantumbutterfly · 14/09/2024 20:08

I'm imagining her doing extra big cross stitches in the eyes to show it was dead, like they do in cartoons.

HELP

Can you row, Beetle? If so, I can push one down there for you.

quantumbutterfly · 14/09/2024 20:09

Can you float on your back using a makeshift sail, your carapace looks quite water tight.

Boiledbeetle · 14/09/2024 20:09

Edited

Boat, or armbands. Either will do, but I can't swim and can't hold on much longer!
