The original premises are getting crowded, we need to expand.

Welcome all women, and well behaved animals.

Supposed to read " heresy" warning. Bah!

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 03/09/2024 16:12

I found us a holiday home!

FuzzyPuffling · 03/09/2024 16:50

Oh that's just the ticket Woley . Do you have to eat your way into it?

PurpleSparkledPixie · 03/09/2024 17:24

Re Tunnocks ( possible hereby warning), the Lidl version of the Caramel wafers is very good indeed. Known as a "Notatunnock" in this house.

Oh dear. I have zero will power and (stupidly) use sugar for energy. I guess there's going to be a lockdown type run on them very soon.

Absolutely loved that revenge image Boiled. I rarely laugh out loud but I did at that โค

Boiledbeetle · 03/09/2024 17:28

Oh! big hugs to all of you fellow bllllllugh sufferers

Hands out comfy head pillows, some fleece blankets, some very natty support stockings with pineapples on them and a 10 speed neck massager that if I'm honest is rather loud and doesn't really do much for my neck.

Resists the Tunnock's
Resists the Tunnmmmmmmmmm

I am sure we are up to the task, @FuzzyPuffling.

In sad news, I have no snacks in the house - I was all strong-minded when I did the supermarket order, and didnโ€™t get myself a plethora of nice treats to see me through the week. Who knew that the consequence of buying no treats would be having no treats? Why wasnโ€™t I warned? A brief message on the Sainsburyโ€™s website, or summat.

Do excuse me - I am off to lick the chocolate off that caravan!

FuzzyPuffling · 03/09/2024 17:53

We're also having a "must eat fewer treats" week. I have just had the penultimate two- stick Kit Kat. It was impossibly small. So much so, I'm not sure I actually ate it.

Fortunes I made some raspberry frangipane tart this morning, so I won't starve.

JulySheWillFlyAndGiveNoWarningToHerFlight · 03/09/2024 18:32

Fewer treats? I admire all the willpower on here, from a distance.

Boiledbeetle · 03/09/2024 18:47

I have spare snacks, and room on the sofa, but I'm not giving up control of the remote

DeanElderberry · 03/09/2024 18:50

I'm not sure about the snacks. A raw pepper, half a courgette, those hand grenade things and something lurking in the tankard.

DeanElderberry · 03/09/2024 18:54

I realise I'm probably just exposing my unsophisticated palate, living out here in Down the Country, I know no better, but surely if you are having cruditรฉs you need to chop them a little smaller and have something to dip them in to aid digestion.

Sorry, that was the lunch menu snacks.

Evening menu snacks are now available

AlisonDonut · 03/09/2024 19:02

I am all snacked out today. I went out to the city to buy materials for the patio and to buy more clay and stuff for my pottery and stupidly bought some chilli crackers and milk chocolate raisins and I ate too many of both.

Bleurgh. I'm a idiot.

lcakethereforeIam · 03/09/2024 19:05

Budge up! Sofa's a bit on the small size. I've brought twiglets.

As a country dweller, you surely know that beetles don't require their veg to be prepped?

I live in a nearly snack-free zone, as DH does the shopping and can't buy snacks as if he does he knows they're in the house and has to eat them. I've got some 85% chocolate he hasn't found yet though...a bit of that goes a long way.

I can hear your pain through that. I am frequently puzzled, then anguished on discovering there is nothing to munch because I've been "good". ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

any of us might be capable of munching holes in dock leaves or pouncing on live tadpoles when we've had a busy time and are a bit peckish and need to eat NOW but that doesn't mean we don't appreciate haute cuisine and a pleasingly arranged plate on more elegant occasions.
